Not Happy re 90 Day Suspension.
-
@w0lf While I'm not sure if its publicly documented the policy of banning members for repeated DMCA strikes is not new. I understand your pain, especially as nobody knows what material is most likely to attract a strike outside of a couple of well-known studios. (A large, well-know Czech twink site springs to mind immediately.) If one of your uploads ever gets removed then I would strongly advise that you don't post anything else from that studio or creator, as they are obviously monitoring things.
Sometimes you will find vids from such sources on the site, and if they do survive it is pargely down to them not being well-labelled or attributed to the source. I would guess that publishing a list of the most aggressive DMCA issuers would attract even more attention, and perhaps mix in even more legal issues which nobody wants to see.
I'm sorry it happened to you, but in the interests of the site as a whole it is perhaps necessary to offer up a sacrificial lamb to prevent more problems. At least its only 90 days and not permanent, which really would be a pain.
As for "What happened to sharing the files??" well when someone has copyright on them they have the right to demand that we don't. The only saving grace is that they have to make specific, targetted requests to remove them. We should all thank our lucky stars that blanket takedowns aren't a thing (yet.)
Anyway, welcome back.

@w0lf if you just want to secure your ratio feel free to do what everyone else is doing, pack up a bunch of large files you have sitting around your storage and call it "random collection #1" and you should be good.
-
@ianfontinell I recognise the sarcasm, but don't even joke about that. There are so many examples floating around the site like oily turds that people might actually think its acceptable.

-
@frostycab i'm not even joking, no one's ever got a 90-day ban from uploading trash so why not join?
-
@ianfontinell Because uploading "random collections" don't meet the requirements of a collection and can cost you your upload rights for far more than 90 days.
-
@MrMazda But uploading genuine files from your collection results in a 90 day ban with no warning so whats the difference? This is why more and more people are using torrent lounge.. they at least have clear definitions of what can and can't be posted.
-
@w0lf We have no control over what copyright holders will request to have taken down. Therein lies the problem.

Could you please clarify what you mean by "genuine files?" Do you mean files that you yourself have created without including any material by other studios or creators, because thos are the only files that would be immune to other parties sending takedown requests. Otherwise my original comment applies.

@frostycab genuine as in not trash/spam/ratio farming

@w0lf welp tough shit and you know what on top of that fuck you because you just gave your legal foes ammunition to come after you because you posted all this in a open forum that they are likely monitoring and now your anonymous upload became a legal documented image and pdf when they are printing all this out and coming after you with copyright shit.
dont belive me? look up why https://gay-torrents.org/ is GONE!
make this forum private.

I really don't understand the point you are trying to make, copyright agents have accounts here, both real and bots, so the forum being indexed/public makes no difference in how safe you are when you say something incriminating.
The best thing you, me and everyone can do is go about our lives having full awareness that we are being watched, and be careful with what we say.
I also see an immediate problem with the idea of making the forum 100% private which is people starting to believe what they do and say here is sealed from the outside world so they start to be even more reckless.

@cp2000 Not only do copyright holders have accounts here, so they're able to see the forums just the same as other users, but there's another problem still... ANY content published on the internet can be subjected to a subpoena, meaning even if the forum were not visible to the public in any way without a membership, its contents can still be accessed through the legal system.
So regardless of whether or not it is private, your point is invalid. Private or not, copyright holders still have any number of ways of accessing the content for their purposes.
