I don't think it's a matter of trying. You might recognize that this shouldn't be much of a deal, but it's easier to just close the video than go to therapy or begin a self-knowledge journey.
Personally I think the issue with this particular matter is that it takes something from you without giving you something in return. Take for example cross-dressers or femboys. They strip off of their masculinity as a mean to either empower or subjugate their partner. It is a very effective way of setting/communicating the power dynamics.
The nail polish thing is the same but on a micro scale, it communicates some important message but not as objectively as the femboy, for instance. Instead it leaves the message to be interpreted by you.
Is it a sign that you shouldn't expect any masculinity whatsoever? Or that maybe they are non-binary? Or a sign that he's naive enough to think a man with painted nails is outrageously transgressive? Or he just thinks it looks pretty and won't restrain himself from doing it because of other people's opinions?
You can't tell. You'll either end up assuming something by yourself (and it might end up being something that kills your boner), or you'll have to be forever conscious enough to never assume anything, in this case good luck trying to enjoy porn being conscious.

I should have edit my post to this, that I don't like the guy I like wearing a nail polish lol, now if his partner is sporting one which I don't care about, then I could ignore it and would not have deleted that vid from my file.

Throughout the past years I have become so anti-condom even I am surprised with myself. I literally can no longer watch any of the scenes from the 2000s/2010s which I grew up with and had some of my favorite actors of all time.
I remember even as recently as 5-6 years ago the industry still was so torn about condoms, some still were clinging to the idea that bareback scenes are irresponsible and that only shady studios do it and that AIDS victims roll in their graves or something everytime we enjoy a bb scene. As for boner killers, obviously everyone has a particular type of guy that they like or dislike. What I've found is that there are quite a few performers out there who, despite matching up with what I'd tell someone I find attractive, instantly make me delete that film forever. @frostycab I double that! Super accurate, there are guys that even though I still find them attractive, they still manage to kill my boner. This is what led me to understand that there's way more to attractiveness in porn than just looks. Two examples are Austin Wolf and Tim Kruger, both of whom I have paid homage a lot in the past. With Tim I just started to feel like he's not even there in the scene, he just looks like he's worried about something else like "Did I lock the door this morning?". As for Austin, maybe from watching too much of his "amateur" content it started to feel like you're having memory issues because all the videos look the same.

I think it's more the studio/director thing than actors/models. For example, MEN is more like silly slapstick type of productions that kids may enjoy in cartoons like Tom & Jerry but a very poor attempt. It's faking all the way, even the cum.
