He wouldn't - you see, there is some context here: some time ago, @raphjd said some things about trans people that some others took issue with (not really me, I just thought he showed himself to be clueless about actual trans people - but he directs ALL his ire to me, so I took up the cause! Mostly because of his childish overreaction to the whole thing - which this posting is perfectly in line with...)
What do I mean? LOL
He was called a trans-phobe, and he pulled a Donald Trump-like "I'm the least trans-phobic person in the whole world, I love trannies" kind of response out of his ass. (NOTE: You will never catch @raphjd admit to an error, or apologize... Again, like Trump, it's just not in his armory!)So now, any statement that references people, but fails to specifically include trans-people, is a trans-phobic moment for him! He seems to think that calling everything not trans-inclusive (specifically & literally) trans-phobic, will somehow "fix" is faux pas. (Instead, it constantly brings it back up!)
My grandfather taught me young: "Son, when you make a mistake, admit it, own it, and get past it. That way it'll die and be forgotten. Otherwise, it just might stick to you and hold you back for the rest of your life!" Good advise in the 1970's, and equally good today, IMHO!
@raphjd should have just let it die... now, he can't let it go!

No, he's saying the Gov't made a generalized statement that covered over 98% of the population - and because it was not talking about gender, it failed to specifically include any of the 66 other recognized terms than can be used to describe human gender identity.
They did not do so to be exclusionary - only you have done that.
BTW: If you ask sociologists, they would tell you that "men and women" covers 99.3% of the population - but I personally think that trans and other gender non-conforming people are under-reported, so I expanded it - claiming only 98% of the population...
Just to be perfectly clear, up-front, and honest about it...

I have no idea what goes through the minds of Liberals when they make stupid comments. Indeed, I have no more insight into their insanity than I have into yours!
I don't explain other people's thoughts, I challenge them.
My people, for the record, are mostly conservative, and mostly Republican (though several of my friends have announced their departure from the party, preferring to re-register as independent or libertarian).
I don't demonize people. I generally try to understand them (as I did you, at first). The ones who genuinely believe differently from me, I greatly respect - and often have wonderfully deep conversations with. But, the ones who can do no more than spout / repeat others' words without being able to explain or provide further insight into them... well, I think this forum has shown, I have little patience or tolerance for them. They don't even KNOW what they believe, they only know what they're told to believe, and they generally have no curiosity or desire to know why... only to be "right."
One of the hallmarks of the "thought follower syndrome" I detest is the insistence that any argument against them is completely and totally against them in every way... like your insistence that my Republican Values are closer to Democrat views or are Chinese influenced. Solely because I dislike using falsehoods, fear, uncertainty, doubt, and outright lies to prove a political point.
Nuance is lost on you. "You're either with us 100%, or you're against us, 100%" is your modus operandi...and it's how I successfully lampoon you so often here!
It's been a fun hobby for a while now, but you've become even MORE extreme - and, as this post shows as an example, I don't really need to poke fun at your stuff anymore, because it's so far out there that you are a caricature simply by posting it!
