Interesting story; thanks for sharing. It does sound like this guy is most likely gay if he's into porn. I had a couple of buddies who are married (to women), with kids, and probably count as straight from a psychological standpoint as they said they were not "attracted" to other men and didn't watch porn. Probably the most you can do is be a kind and affirming friend to him, which seems to be happening. He could probably benefit from some quality therapy, but most people will take that suggestion as an insult. Hang in there....

I find it interesting, curious and sad that the young man has such limited access to porn!
Perhaps he doesn't have the financial means to afford a porn website membership, but there are near-infinite amounts of free, straight (and other) porn on torrent sites like 1337 and rar. bg, to name only a few.
And even though sites like redtube or tube8 have deleted a lot of clips, there are still terabytes available. How is the poor lad so devoid of porn options?

Getting into the gold mine of gay porn such as this site and a couple of others is extremely difficult. My ISP does so every few weeks if I leave my connection to the VPN server up too long. My solution is that I change my VPN server every weekend. I haven't been throttled (other than when I forget to swap servers) in almost 2 years now.
If you don't use a VPN (and you should... you REALLY should!), change the ports you're using in your torrent client. (This isn't necessary if you're using/changing VPN servers - your ISP won't have visibility to your port.)
Very OT for this thread, but do you ever lose credit for seeding after you change your VPN server and thus IP? I use a VPN all the time as well (would be terrified of my ISP seeing lots of torrent traffic!) but I've occasionally seeded something and then found the uploaded data seemingly wasn't 'seen' by the Rationator.

WRT: uploading from different IPs... know that your uploads are tracked by your user ID - which is tied into your tracker connection. The tracker uses this ID, not your IP address - which is why you can seed from multiple IPs and get credit for all of it!
