Are you the only gay person in your family?

On my mom's side of the family, I have a lesbian aunt, a bi-sexual uncle, a gay first cousin and a bi-sexual cousin. On my dad's side if the family, I know of one cousin who I suspect is something other than straight.

I think the answer really depends on whether you limit "family" at brothers and sisters, or include all your aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, etc…
I'm an only child, and one parent was an only child, so on the branches of our small family tree, I am the only one.

Some Say on of my mum side uncle is gay. I never meet him n person and basically i don't care about to know who is gay, who is not. Who love chocolate who love vanilla. etc

I come from a large family (30+ cousins on one side) and I suspect a couple to be gay, although I don't ask because it's not my business.
I'm still in the closet and my family doesn't suspect anything, so no one in my family is "openly" gay.

There are 2 openly gay guys and one girl in my family. But lots and lots of bisexual and closeted cases on both my mom's side and my dad's side.
It's mostly because of religion and work, which for most of them, they are preachers.
I should know, I have had sex with pretty much all the guys in my family. Most of my male cousins on both sides and a few of my nephews.
It does make reunions and funerals awkward. -

Up until just the past few years my mom and dads family went by the "old World" rules.
Marriages were arranged.
and if you were gay? you still had to marry a woman and have kids. You could have all the male friends you wanted but you still had to reproduce and take care of that family.
The consequences of being openly gay are the same as for someone who married outside of the arrangement. You basically get the cold shoulder.Families can be weird.

Immediate family, all 3 siblings are gay. Myself, my older half sister and my younger sister.
2 lesbian cousins that I know of. I'm sure there are more, but haven't really talked to anyone in my extended family since my mom died when I was just 18.

Yeah, I'm sure there's quite a few on my dad's side. Which is probably why my family is so accepting haha.

at least 2 other cousins on my moms side are gay, my dad has 4 kids by different women and at least 2 of us are gay

Pretty sure Im the only gay guy in my family my moms side is pretty southern though so they may be bit more pressed to be in the closet than I was

So far pretty much the only one my cousin say hes bi but hearing him describe why he thinks so….it feels like he's reaching a bit but its not that big of a deal

Openly or closeted? I guess you wouldn't know if someone was closeted in your family.
I'm out. Took a while. On my mom's side, I also have two queer female cousins. One is more out and open than the other and one older gay cousin who isn't out. He's from an older generation, so I don't think he'll ever come out. But if he did, no one would be surprised.

Well if we are talking openly then yeah. I'm it. Although I have to laugh because most people still can't wrap their heads around it because I don't "act" gay.. thanks to sitcoms like "Will & Grace" they apparently all think ALL gay guys act like Jack. They were all betting my youngest brother was gay for sure because he totally fits that stereotype. I do have one long estranged uncle on my Father's side who was totally under homo-suspicion, he was very strange and evasive when My Father would go to visit him, would never allow him to stay with him or even come to his house.
