If you have a private place, I would suggest the usage of a VPN based in a western country.
You will be able to workaround the ban and to avoid the monitoring of your internet usage.

This should be safer for your regular browsing experience too.

I think there is a "park" option in the profile section where you can put your account so it doesn't get purged.

We have never had an account parking option. The only thing that I could really suggest would be to use a VPN where you can hide your identity and location, as well as all of your internet activities to be able to access your account. You need to login at least once every 180 days to avoid any account issues. In some cases, this grace period is extended to 240 days.

                    https://switchvpn.net should be a good choice ….
Shared IP address with no logs, Indian jurisdiction, no p2p in US to avoid DMCA.

Since OpenVPN has been exposed to various bugs/exploits who attacked the TLS layer,  :police:
I would use L2TP over IPSec with one of their Romanian or Russian servers.  :cool2:
The support for this protocol is embedded in Windows & macOS, Android & iOS.

                    Cost: https://switchvpn.net/order  😮

Couldn't you just ask a mate to login once every now and then while you are away?

Once in the middle would be enough, but he must not have an account here (and you must trust him not to abuse the login).

If he considers his privacy a valuable asset, it would be better to anonymise everyday navigation too.

The Boundless Informant infrastructure has been attacked from the leaks, but not thwarted or dismantled.
I would consider this map still relevant these days: it shows where the phone/internet traffic is most closely monitored.
