@kekkaishi said in C-19 and the liberal hivemind: That's the definition of NPC @raphjd said in C-19 and the liberal hivemind: This picture only shows 5, but there are more than 100 such posts on the Twitter. Notices they aren't retweets. Likewise with Facebook. Nearly identical quotes from supposedly different people? Not hardly... Certainly there are break-thru cases of COVID-19 - the same as kids who have been vaccinated against measles can still get a slight case if someone in their school get it! The danger (in school) isn't that it starts spreading because one kid gets it... the danger is that, even though nearly everyone WILL get it if it is brought into the school environment - and some of those kids (and adults) will not have been vaccinated, and so will get very sick (and possibly die).... Vaccines don't stop you from getting the virus, they simply prepare your body so that when it is invaded by the virus, you don't get so sick (or possibly even sick at all). Did none of you take Biology 1 in High School? Did they not teach you how viruses and infections spread? Geez!

@serenity said in Trust the science: @bi4smooth I don't think that "science" change, but the results do, when we get smarter. And what is wrong about getting smarter. Some people have always had a problem with science, because it conflicts their world view. It has been that way for centuries. Absolutely science changes... Heisenberg changed how we measure things. Newton changed our understanding of mass vs. weight (they are NOT the same). Hawking changed how we think of and measure time. But separate from how science itself changes, the conclusions we make from scientific studies changes... especially when we base our conclusions on limited data... and we got that in spades with COVID-19: everyone was clamoring for answers, so the scientists gave them what they had: knowing the data was incomplete. And that made them wrong... wrong far more often than we like hearing that scientists are wrong! There is an acronym often used in computer science: GIGO Garbage in / Garbage out When you have small sample sizes, your conclusions can be thrown off by the smallest of anomalies... but that is the beauty of science - we LEARN from our mistakes! We (scientists) challenge our assumptions and SEEK to prove our theories WRONG! (You can seldom prove a theory is valid, but you can often prove it wrong! The more people try - and fail - to prove a theory is wrong, the more accepted as "probably right" it becomes!

@serenity It's odd that Denmark and Australia, share that quirk. Maybe it's a reference to classic liberalism and not this modern authoritarianistic "liberal" crap.

@manhandler And I and many others declare that Biden is illegit. No excuse for that fuckwad. Trump is the President. Their mandates are garbage and their edicts are the same.

@manhandler Well your numbers are not right. Sweden had new cases per week 21 people out of 100.000 people. It is still low compared to other European countries, but not zero. Also Sweden has imposed more strict restrictions the last few months. I know, I live next to Sweden.

@manhandler Maybe it is so in your country, but most is fine in my country. And 68% is vaccined here and 94% want the vaccines. So we are happy that the covid19 will be gone in my country soon.

Yeah.. females want to be given equal rights to everything.. except when they have to go to work or go to battle.. then they demand exemptions. What good is a member of the military that doesn't go into battle? Now that they are pushing for extended paid leave for pregnancies.. independently owned businesses would be crazy to hire child-bearing age females, and would fire them if they suspected they were pregnant.
