It is one thing to harass and belittle people who are overweight... that's just shitty behavior... It is another ignore the negative health effects of obesity. It is important to your own mental health to develop a positive self-image - whether you're under-, over-, or "prefect"-weight... It is equally important to understand that sometimes we need to change our behaviors and habits due to health concerns. Not quite apples-to-apples, but I was just recently warned by my Dr to drastically reduce my caffeine intake - as it's affecting my heart rhythm! I don't want to die, so I'm doing just that - and it's very difficult! I love my coffee, and I get rather irritable without it... but I'd rather be irritable than dead, so I muddle through it... I am sorry this woman has passed at such a young age. I appreciate her devotion to maintaining a positive self-image in spite of her weight (and sharing that with others)... but I am also sorry she wasn't able to do enough health-wise to prevent this tragic ending.

@raphjd said in CIA Officer Who Signed Hunter Biden Laptop Letter Claims Credit for Trump Loss: https://www.theepochtimes.com/mkt_app/cia-officer-who-signed-hunter-biden-laptop-letter-claims-credit-for-trump-loss_4369180.html Jeeez... give it a rest! First of all, the I know a guy (a Republican) who claims to have voted twice in the 2020 election, and says HE's the reason Trump won Florida! And I personally will claim credit for tomorrow's sunrise in Antarctica! Let's work with some actual facts here: The seized laptop still hasn't been confirmed as belonging to Hunter Biden The Justice Dept has been unusually tight-lipped (there are usually leaks) about the whole Hunter Biden investigation, but Daddy Biden LEFT the prosecutor (in Delaware) in place (a Trump appointment) Remember: new Presidents from opposite parties usually fire the Federal Prosecutors (DAs) and replace them with their own... it's common practice: Trump did it, Biden did it.... except he left the prosecutor in Delaware in place -- "to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest" (something career politicians are used to, but Trump never worried about) There HAS been a lot of activity in the Justice Dept with regards to the case(s) against Hunter Biden lately... there is speculation that the investigation is winding down - he'll either be cleared (a Dem wet dream) or charged with something (given what he was up to, this is more likely) There has been ZERO indication - from any source - that Joe Biden has been involved in any of Hunter's business dealings Hunter may be clean or dirty - either way doesn't mean his dad is either clean or dirty. The same can be said of the Trumps... If daddy gets prosecuted for the Jan 6 coup attempt, that doesn't mean Ivanka is guilty of anything... although the more appropriate analogy would be Baron Trump - after all, he's a completely non-political son of the (past) President.... the same as Hunter Biden. IMHO: Is Hunter dirty? Likely yes - ironically in many of the same ways Donald Trump is dirty... backroom dealings, payoffs, and "dirty deals" to make money. Will either one be convicted of these "white collar" crimes? unlikely... expensive lawyers usually find a way out....

@lololulu19 said in IRS Gave Stimulus Money to Dead People, Even After Error Was Identified: Audit: Hey... if dead people can vote (for democrats), then they are also entitled to stimulus money! If one did not have to be 18 years old to vote, the democrats would win every election by having the average million healthy babies aborted every year being able to vote. 400-million dead people voted for Joe Biden! That's the ONLY way he could have won! Just ask the Trumpites in Ohio - who are still complaining (falsely) that Donald Trump received more votes than there are registered voters in the entire State! (That's a great trick!) I still say that the #1 reason Trump was so easily goaded into thinking that the Dems MUST have cheated is because he knew that he had cheated and so it made sense that the only way he could have lost to Biden would have been if they'd cheated even more than he had! (Looked at from that perspective, he's not quite as loony... loony as a bat, still... but not quite as loony as a toon!)

I will break my own code just for this. No one got a perma ban. It's just a short temp ban in the forums. He/they/it can still use the torrent side during his/their/its vacation. As for abusing powers, try your crap at other forums and see how long you last.

@bi4smooth said in Hunter Biden Bio Firm Partnered With Ukrainian Researchers ‘Isolating Deadly Pathogens’ Using Funds From Obama’s Defense Department.: Of course, they planned the COVID-19 crisis - because it's so common that US Voters choose to oust a sitting President during a crisis! (Historically - not so much! Had Trump handled the crisis as most Presidents would: by galvanizing the country around a unified response, he'd have been re-elected in the landslide he always dreamed of! Instead, he turned it into a political football, blaming others for stupid things and setting Americans against Americans over a distrust of science! DOH!) So many Trumpettes don't get this, so I am, for one, glad he tried to ignore COVID.

@bi4smooth said in US Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is hospitalized: I agree @hubrys was a little hyperbolic in his depiction of Justice Thomas believing that the US should have a religion (after all, he is an originalist) - but he certainly DOES think religion (and specifically christian beliefs) should play a larger role in US law and policy. Justice Thomas notoriously does not believe in the Incorporation Doctrine, i.e., the judicially created legal framework that interprets the 5th and 14th Amendments as having incorporated the Bill of Rights against the states. In Thomas's judicial philosophy, the First Amendment applies only and exclusively to the Federal Government, not state governments. If Georgia wants to make Baptist its official religion, then it can do so under Thomas's interpretation of the Constitution. If Utah wants to make Mormonism its official religion, then it can do so. You can Google and read for yourself his dissent in Elk Grove Unified School District v. Newdow. As an attorney that has both studied Constitutional law as well as practiced it, I have no doubts about what Thomas's judicial philosophy is. You can Google it yourself. It shouldn't be hard to find explanations. His perspective is unique amongst his fellow justices. It is why he so often concurs with the results reached by the Conservative majority, but does not agree with their reasoning. As for believing gay should be illegal, he dissented in Lawrence v. Texas which struck down anti-gay sodomy laws (previously upheld by the SCOTUS in Bowers v. Hardwick).

They suspended accounts of anyone who retweeted it. Again: As with others... While I applaud the decision, I have no illusions that the Conservative super-majority on the SCOTUS will overturn it if they take up the case.

@bi4smooth said in Trans serial killer strikes again in NYC: I assumed that the earlier convictions had also been for murder.. and my own personal belief is that 1st-degree murder convicts should not - ever - be eligible for parole. Even those "liberals" down in Texas allow parole for murder. For example, if she'd been given the maximum sentence (non-capital and non-"without parole" that is) according to TX guidelines for murder, she'd have only spend another decade in prison compared to New York. I don't think NY's criminal justice system was as "liberal" here as you think it was.

Curiously, CNN (a left-leaning news source, I think all would agree) is now "fact checking" their own "liberal sources"... https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2022/03/17/marjorie-taylor-greene-zelensky-speech-mh-orig.cnn

@raphjd said in Portland antifa riot bomber sentenced to 90 days in halfway house: From Andy Ngo; Portland antifa riot bomber sentenced to 90 days in halfway house Gabriel Agard-Berryhill, the convicted rioter who threw a bomb at the Portland federal courthouse besieged by antifa in July 2020, has been sentenced to only 90 days in a halfway house and 2-years probation. When he was originally released bail-free soon after arrest, he violated those release conditions by returning to a riot. I previously interviewed his grandmother in an exclusive report for the New York Post. She was the one who accidentally outed her grandson through a review she posted online for the protective vest she bought him. Gabriel had a tragic and dysfunctional upbringing. He said in court that he was handed the explosive by an unknown person. I witnessed myself at riots in Portland how antifa members would hand out explosives and weapons to random people. The goal was for these random protesters to take the fall if there was ever any prosecution. Read: https://nypost.com/2020/08/01/trump-loving-grandma-outs-her-own-grandson-as-portland-bomber/ ++++ You guys might remember that this guy was outed by his grandma when she reviewed the fake bulletproof vest she bought him so he could go LARPing. Have you seen the ugly old men who fuck those boys in the halfway house? 90-days of having to fuck them is cruel and unusual punishment! LOL You're always smarter than the educated people, aren't you? In this case, you (and in this case, I mean Andy Ngo) - by virtue of your Russian News Media Feeds - know more about this case than the judge who sat through the trial! And this is the guy you (@raphjd) post about today, and not the nut-job Jussie Smollett (fake hate-crime victim) who got himself an actual "Get out of Jail Free** card today?
