I do not fear the science behind this at all. I would consider doing something like this if the option were available today.

I had to take care of my grandmother, mom, dad and an aunt at the end of their lives. I loved it. Treated them like kings and queens and my husband was right there pitching in the entire way. To me, this is just what you do to people you love. Even if my dad was a homophobic prick. Will I ever let my kids take care of me? Oh HELL NO!!!! :blind: I would be dead within a week. They can't even take care of pets.

All 4 of our boys were raised by just us dads. Only a couple of times in their lives did they want any involvement with their mothers. Love, care, and patience are needed more than genders. If you can't provide that? then don't have kids.

I am single, HIV+, and foster/adopted.  I live in San Diego.  It may be different elsewhere.  Everyone applying for foster care parenting has to have a medical exam.  My medical examiner determined I was healthy enough to raise children and that is what the agency went by.

@unspoken123: Well, this is a true story which I know. My friend's dad is gay (single, divorced)…he himself being gay too and quite hunky. He does not do things with his dad (lol just to mention) but he told me once where his friend suddenly came over....but it was to look for his dad not knowing that the gay guy was actually his dad... They live under the same roof but he told me it was really awkward when someone you know comes knocking at your door, for a bootycall by your dad (lol total awkwardness) nightmare, the father leads his son to be a wrong life, shameful

I will lead him to the right side. If he is teenager i will accept his sexuality. As a father your responsibility is to give them what’s right and wrong in their growing ages. by the way boys always like to play woth boys. Dating a man with kids is no picnic, but believe me when I say it’s much harder on the other side. Finding a man who’s willing to enter a family situation is difficult. As we get older it becomes more and more common. Most guys I’ve known who’ve dated men with kids often make a vow once the relationship is over: “Never again will I date a man with children.” Men with kids know this. I’ve also seen countless of successful gay relationships that have beaten the odds and fought against their challenges to withstand a beautiful partnership with loving children. It is possible to enter a broken family with open arms; it’s just going to take a bit more effort. Besides, when you have the man of your dreams it’s always going to be worth the fight. :blink:

It’s never too early to come out to your child/ren. Kids understand love. What they don’t understand is deception or hiding. And it’s never too late to come out to your child.

@yinjustin: Questions in the subject. I just read this question and I'm not sure what you are looking for.. A surogate is a substitute, especially a person deputizing for another in a specific role or office.. Was that what you were looking for? Did you find one?
