You might have to setup port forwarding on the VPN side in your account and/or in your VPN client software. If you don't do that, you probably won't be connectible but everything will appear OK in your torrent client and on whatever tracker and website. The VPN might assign you a port randomly, or you might be able to pick one. In any case whatever port the VPN gives you, enter that port in your torrent client as the port to use. I forgot to do it with my VPN at first, but when I setup port forwarding my speeds improved tremendously. µTorrent alpha  (3.4 build 28937) works too 

You can do that why the "Reseed" procedures. In principle, you load the torrent into qBittorrent and on the window which will show to confirm the download location, you will have to navigate to the folder (aka directory) which contains the former µTorrent downloaded data. Then run a recheck. You might need to set the qBittorrent graphical user interface options to show that window. I recommend as well to change qBittorrent's setting not to start downloading a newly added torrent immediately. Note that on Windows, I've noticed a small but important difference between µTorrent and qBittorrent: In µTorrent you have to select the file or folder from which the torrent was created. In qBittorrent you have to select the folder which contains the file or folder from which the torrent has been created. A more basic reseed procedure is described in the English FAQ.

have you tried a different torrent client portis3? aDownloader might not work well with some private trackers. Also, depending on how it handles scrape errors, it might not get peers updates properly if it's heavily reliant on scrapes rather than just doing tracker updates. Vuze in it's default settings sends torrents to a 'queued' but seeding state after some time getting scrape errors, and it won't do a tracker update to get peers, it just keeps on scraping.

Yes, it is a flat 0.5 points per hour seeding. Other calculation schemes were proposed and discussed frequently. They are considered, but no change is scheduled right now (though I know the owner likes to improve it).

@Uwe: To invite Friends to join at times the registration is not open. Only Power User can use them. You aren't Power User, so they are currently useless for you. Anyway each user gets initially 4 invites, which he can use when getting the Power User status. That is relatively easy … The basic FAQ way: If you have copied the data file into the default download folder before you reload the torrent into your torrent client programme, the programme will find it there. You may need to run a recheck. The µTorrent/BitTorrent pointing to any other location way: 1/ Load the torrent and don't start it! 2/ Click with the right mouse button on the torrent in µTorrent's list and select "Advanced" > "Set Download Location…" > navigate to the file location and confirm (Save) 3/ Right mouse button click on the torrent in µ/BitTorrent's list and select "Force re-check". The torrent should check to 100% and µTorrent displaying "Finished" instead of "Stopped" in the status column. 4/ Start the torrent, it shall go to "Seeding" or at least to "Queued seeding" or 1/ Load the torrent, µTorrent/BitTorrent will show a small window with the target download location. Click there the ". . ." button. 2/ Then navigate to the file location and confirm (Save). Don't start the Torrent. 3/ Right mouse button click on the torrent in µ/BitTorrent's list and select "Force re-check". The torrent should check to 100% and µTorrent displaying "Finished" instead of "Stopped" in the status column. 4/ Start the torrent, it shall go to "Seeding" or at least to "Queued seeding" Both ways are equal.
