I'm not a programmer or anything like that, so I can only give vague answers as I understand the situation. The threads/posts that disappeared still exist in some form, as they can still be seen on user pages. Until we find the problem, which is the main thing on the agenda, there's really no sense to try to restore the threads/posts as it could happen again because the problem was never fixed.

For future reference, when you find a dead torrent, there is a button near the bottom that you can click that reads "Request Re-seed". This option is generally more effective, as the system will PM the last up to 120 people (I think it is) who downloaded the torrent to ask them to re-seed it for you. It also usually draws more attention, as this will prompt a red box to appear at the top of each page to advise them that they have a message. A forum post won't do that. That being said though, it appears that one of our mods has done this for you, and put a freeleech on the torrent. I just noticed it now and that it was uploaded in 2015, so I also promoted it to help draw some more attention to it for you.

It sounds like the DNS provider you are using is not resolving our tracker's IP address for some reason. There are however two ways around this… Way #1 - Change your DNS to Google DNS using these DNS servers 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 Way #2 - Modify your computer's hosts file by adding these two lines 77.247.179.58 tracker.gaytor.rent 77.247.179.58 tracker.gaytorrent.tw If you are unsure of how to modify your system's hosts file, I would encourage you to check out this comprehensive guide.

Generally, when your uploads need approval before going live, it's just a matter of waiting for a mod to get to the torrent approvals. The time that this takes however can vary, as it is largely dependent on the availability of our staff. As it is currently, there are no torrents awaiting approval.

When you fall below the minimum ration you lose your download rights.  HOWEVER, we give you XX amount of days "grace period" to raise your ratio before that happens. I can't give specifics because it's based on variables such as download amount, account age, etc., so everyone's account will be at a different point. If anyone is having problems with their ratio, contact the Helpdesk and one of our mods will help you out.

The rules say to keep and seed your uploaded files until at least 3 or 4 other members are seeding your torrent. But this limit is not good for a better ratio. Experience shows there are several phases in torrent life: Directly after upload where a lot of members try to get the new download and keep seeding it for some time. After this period there comes a calmer time for seeding - slow but rather secure for uploading. If you are lucky your torrent will get promoted to the top of the torrent search - with even more luck (or your seedbonus points) the torrent will get freeleech - in that case you are really lucky. Another tip is to watch for re-seed requests for your download - those re-seed requests are secure way to get upload traffic. As to harddisc place: you can also burn the data files (unchanged!) to CD or DVD to free up your hard drive. Hope this hekps.

Well - did you here something about video quality? As you said yourself reducing size is another expression for reducing quality. Have you ever tried to view a 320px x 400px on a 47" Tv-screen? Good luck you can black out one pixel with your thumb! On the other hand: what about collections for a special theme? Are I supposed to upload each and every part as a single file? Just have a look at my last uploads of ClubBangBoys - each year (except 2014) is > 100 GB with ~ 100 single episodes. Also too big for downloading??? The current seeders seem to think otherwise! And to mention DVD: first thing is ripping a DVD in a single files means quality reduction. Second there are double sized DVD with a capacity of > 8 GB. We recommend since years to upload a DVD as a (complete!) copy of the VIDEO_TS folder. A couple of years ago there was even a staff discussion to forbid uploads of single VOB files without IFO and BUP. In a good client you can select your download files. If you please you can download just the *.VOB files.

@alivenwell: I know this is late but when I have my privacy set to Strong, does this also mean that no on can see what I am downloading? Regardless whether your setting is Normal, Low or Strong, No other members can see the history of your downloads (completed/currently seeding or not), uploads, and leeching (currently downloading), but you yourself alone.
