This commonly happens when you are attempting to download the contents of the torrent, rather than SEED the contents of the torrent. To get around this, we recommend that you do the following: Remove the torrent from your torrent client Copy or move the contents of the torrent to the folder that your torrent client downloads into by default Download the .torrent file from the site Open the .torrent file in your torrent client. If you have done the above correctly, your torrent client should hash check the content, then start seeding it. If you miss step 2, you will end up with the very problem you are having. @MrMazda: I see the issue is related to a lack of seeders and on some torrents, also the age of the torrent. Many of them qualify for freeleech and/or promotion. Please stand by while I go on a freeleech spree to help you get some more upload traffic on your torrents. Cheers! thanks a lot!

@TK2129: It's just weird cause I only haver one torrent uploading at 14kbs…but I have torrents which, at least had, a lot of leechers. You may have a pot forwarding issue with your network. You need to be sure that the port that your torrent client uses is forwarded through your home network (router) or VPN to your computer, both in TCP and UDP. This is a critical step, necessary for getting proper upload traffic.

Any time you use torrents, whether it's to upload a new torrent, or to download and seed an existing torrent, your IP address can be seen in the peers pool. Depending on where in the world you are, this can sometimes result in a copyright notice being sent to your provider, which can be handled in a number of ways. In order to avoid this, I recommend the use of a VPN such as Private VPN, which supports port forwarding, in order to hide your IP address. As well, if you're uploading content from a site, you must also be careful, as many sites use a watermark so that when it is shared, they can tell which user account from their system originally shared the content, regardless of the site it is shared to. You always need to be careful about things like this when uploading a torrent.
