@mgr: …As to movies: we (rather: admins those days when GT.ru started) did embed the logo into videos, but only into videos which were uploaded by themselves, never in user uploads […] in fact that was the way of "advertising" that I learned about GT.ru myself about 4 years ago. As you can see this is still my favorite site on the net Thx Mgr for your explanations, which confirm this embedded GT logo was here for "advertising" Glad it made us both learn about GT, though you're member since June 2007 (as shown in your Forum profile) when I'm here since 2.5 months only ! I'm curious and really would like to know WHEN did GT start ? The earliest Forum topic I found is a great Joker's topic, named "If you have any Questions…" (read 855 times) and dated May 30, 2006 (Joker's 1st message in it), a must read ! http://community.gaytor.rent/index.php?topic=2.0 So can we say GT started in May 2006 or did it start years before ? Because as far as I remember, it seems to me I discovered those "embedded GT logo" movies years ago. Btw, Admins were very tasty in their movies choice when they embedded the logo : I remember how much I like(d) the kind of movies they embedded, thinking each time I saw a new one : "What? Gaytorrent.ru AGAIN ! Those guys are GREAT !!!"  Though it's very hard, today, to imagine GT without you in it... Now we want Joker back and read his posts again ! Christmas is coming soon...let's hope he'll be back on december 25th...or before

Million thanks to the staff member who immediately did the job for me, adding "blackdid - enjoy" in my 14 torrents. If I'm not mistaken, this staff member should be Uwe or Junior (as they were online a few min ago) or our great Admin Mgr (you never know when he's online !) But I'm sure any staff member would have been as kind as them, only on GT you'll find such great people, believe me. Thx family  :hug2:

Dear 778939 Thank you to bring our attention to these to descriptions with the torrent file missing. Please read the second post of that topic > http://community.gaytor.rent/index.php?topic=9496.0 to understand what can be done. Basically we need the Original Poster or a member having the same hash torrent file to volunteer to reupload it. I'll start with contacting the OP.

@beercan: Atm get him to upload something (subject to mod approval) if he hasn't done so already then you can gift seeds to him. preferably something hawt and steamy  :xpl: This would be a double win for him.  He could get the SBP you are wanting to give him plus some from other members I'm sure and he would get the seeded traffic from sharing to help boost his ratio(if he needs it). As an added note, if he(she) has never uploaded to our tracker before and can do so with no moderator help, I will give him 50 - 100 SBP with my first time uploader program.

@raphjd: I get the 403 error and I'm using Chrome and FireFox. All you have to do it get past it is to refresh the page. Thank you very much man if you don't tell about refreshing page i never across this solution for my mind.

@gunhill2: i have to start uploading some videos to increase my ratio I just downloaded the quick torrent maker and i am ready to go , but i must ask the owners are flavorworks videos banned from this site?? No they aren't. But please run a search and make sure that the video(s) you want to upload isn't (aren't) already on here. [This guide will help you make your search more thorough - http://community.gaytor.rent/index.php?topic=6659.0]

bigger, stronger, faster That is the name a documentary about steroid abuse in sports.

@cumeaternc: All banned Lucas videos are no longer available for new leechers.  What videos are you commenting about?  Please provide links if you have them. they still are .. because the hidden paramater for ModsOnly category isn't applied to the hompepage top {most wanted} list. @Hier0nymous: These films are still live here. I have tried really hard to prevent people from being caught out. Admins/mods: can you PM everyone currently seeding/leeching and tell them to stop? this function is not implemented {yet}, sorry. it would be hard to PM every connected user manually. i changed the torrent's title to attract their attention to read comments, but many of them don't seem to worry/care…

You point the finger on the weakness of that calculation, because it is made on the actual minimum share ratio and stats. A real good calculation will need include the eventuality of all the Rationator 2.2 steps, i.e. test if the calculation with the current step does result in a higher minimum share ratio; if ye, take the next ratio step, make the calculation and check if the amount will be in a higher ratio step and so on, until finding the optimum. Certainly possible and likely on Tom's or mgr's to do list already.  :crazy2:

lol i'm a real newbie. Thank you all staff members for your clear explanations, you never let anyone down without answering.

I can confirm that vuze has that function too since i use it exclusively.

Ah .. guess that complicates matters. thx for the reply champ! :hug2:

I think unless the uploader said something NOT to share at other places, it will be OK if you mention that you got it elsewhere and thank the uploader without to mention who it was. That is a compromise between mention the uploader name (not all like that their nick is mentioned on the web) and not thanking at all. Personally I a very happy if I see my encodings uploaded somewhere and it's mentioned by the poster that he got it somewere else. Like raphjd, I don't like my nick being mentioned.

@neecohjayk: …WHAT IF YOUR IN A FRIENDS PLACE...YOU WANTED TO SHOW A FRIEND SOME THING IN THIS SITE AND YOU OPENED YOUR ACCT...THEN YOU GET BANNED... If you are at friends place and they have an account already that can be detected by our tracker as a dupe…..then why not say to your friend "Hey go to gaytorrents.ru, I want to show you something?" Logic would state that IF you are not downloading anything then why risk being flagged as a dupe account to "show" a friend something?  All members can see the same information on this tracker with the exception of AA users.  They can see one other part of our forums that non AA users cannot. If it is a PM you have received that you want to show a friend then forward it to them when you get home.  ::) I don't know the exact statistic but I would wager to say for every 1 "innocent" dupe account detection there are probably 10 "guilty" users who are just to lazy to keep their ratio in order and try to cheat the system. :police: As a moderator or admin it also makes it hard to see your point of view when we review accounts flagged as dupes and BOTH account histories are littered with low ratio warnings or dl rights have been taken away.

I know this is an old post but it may be worth mentioning that media player classic that comes with the k-lite codec pack will make a contact sheet for videos also.

I'm glad I'm not alone in wondering how 4 billion snatches happened.

Cumeaternc offers numerous valid suggestions. Mgr explained that PayPal allows credit cards to be used without creating an account in Germany/DE. In the US, I know that PayPal also allows a credit card to be used without a PayPal account.  To "connect" PayPal with a direct debit FROM a checking or saving account DOES require an account. I consider PayPal extremely secure and have had an account with them for many years.  I have it connected to both my credit card and my checking account – yet I keep my balance with them at zero. But to each, their own decision.

@cumeaternc: I spent $9 on a hotfile account this month to try it out and by unlimited downloading they mean unlimited.  I think I get like 100GB of free premium traffic to share a month so if anyone is interested I can let you try it out by uploading some stuff there for "premium download". I have snatched about a terabyte easily already this month and I still has 2 weeks left before I have to renew. I have an account also there are 5 sites i frquent every day, 3 porn and 2 general. The porn ones are great for AVI files but i have yet to find any forums that post full DVD rips if anyone knows of any PM me.. I just donate $5 every now and then to get rid of the adds. I still find this place the best for Gay DVD's Speed is excelent and theres no spam and popups.

That user class is not in use currently. It was create quite some time ago (much before I became Moderator) to give a kind of recognition to very good original torrent posters. Then however the discussion got stuck and is still stuck on the objective criteria to promote a User or Power User to the Uploader class. Very regrettable and perhaps (I hope) this topic revives that discussion and we get finally to a conclusion. There is a topic called " … for Uploader class" ( ... stands for the members name, to keep his privacy), KinseyF, perhaps yo have access to it?
