@Joker: admins arent robots…. and need also some sleep sometimes... sorry for the outage Gasp!  Admins aren't robots?  Say it's not so!  Thanks for all you do, Joker.  Your dedication to running the site, along with the other admins and mods, is greatly appreciated.

Yesterday 15h11 UTC you had 314.750 seed bonus points. Toady 08h00 you got 320.625 seed bonus points. This makes up for a difference of 5.875 (5 7/8) seedbonus points or 11 h 45 minutes of seeding time seed bonus points granted by the system. It looks to work …

Yeah its simple, just go to options and then preferences and under directories you can select

Ok raphjd, thanks.

I went a step further and edited the title  :cheesy2:

Until recently, I wasn't aware that such a torrent bump was possible at a moderator level. Now that I'm aware, this will make things a lot easier to work with working from this point forward. It's at least a good thing to know about marking the original date and time added for reference when doing this.

Thank you mgr.  I missed that thread.  I just added a new torrent and I stopped all my other torrents now.

Just an observation upon reading this entire thread… Having been a member for a few years now, and having had my fare share of hard drive crashes, losing my libraries, having to start over, rebuilding my seed points .... hell I can even remember when Administrator let me have some free credits when I pleaded for assistance ... and he helped me out.  And in turn, I have kept my promise back to him.  I love this site.  I enjoy the community.  I appreciate those who contribute to it, and I appreciate even more those who help facilitate and administer it.  Uwe, more than anyone, simply because I tried to help rebuild the system after the crash last year of the site.  The point is, this is a community, and it take members to help make it work.  And members have been given the opportunity to voice concerns, make suggestions, and interact with staff.  It's part of what makes this community great - and why I personally enjoy it, and I'm sure thousands of others do as well. Debate can be good - it helps foster community - and it helps improve things that can be improved upon.  I certainly have full respect for everyone on staff involved in created, building, tweaking and supporting this site and system.  Truly, my hats off to all of you for what you have accomplished.  I know you have heard suggestions in the past, made adjustments, and the history of your actions and changes are lost if not recognized by many in the community - especially those who are new'ish to us.

If it is just a simple matter of a DNS entry not being acknowledged, it can in theory make it just as simple to just manually enter the IP address for the site in your hosts file to bypass any DNS server all together, thereby eliminating the problem for such sites such as GT.ru… just a random thought.

Just a question: You got a tool to calibrate the colour of your screen?

Hello cumeaternc, thank you for your nice reply. Meanwhile I found out that it was a malfunction of my ImageGrabber. So no need to change anything on thesite. Sorry for bothering you all. Have a nice day, Gerald

In theory this would be an excellent feature. In reality it's a simple fact that only every 200th to 500th downloader user uses the existing rating feature. And his rating doesn't even say that much. In a perfect world a 5-star rating  means the downloaded file exeeds the expectations of the leecher (quality- and contentwise). In reality there are users out there who don't even download a file and rate it with one star (sucks!). My indicator that I always look for are comments by other users. Not only are the usernames of the posters visible (which fends of the grumpy/destrucive kind mentioned above), but the comments are far more detailed.

I never even look at the ratings when making my decision to download.  I look at the pics, and if they look good, I'll look for further info from tlavideo.com and aebn.net.  In fact, I can't recall if I've even noticed the ratings. Like they say, "Opinions are like assholes.  Everyone has one." Same goes for a news forum I belong to where you can rate with "thumbs up" or "thumbs down".  I never look at the thumbs.  If someone doesn't like my post, if they don't have the nads to address it specifically, it means nothing to me. Maybe that could be a suggestion with the rating system.  Something like, in order to rate, you have to post a comment saying what you didn't like about the vid.  If they just post something stupid like "It sucked", then I wouldn't give that opinion any value.  But if they post something specific, at least the original seeder would be able to see if what they were saying is true. Just a thought.

thank you geographer and cumeaternc for your help. you are great

@mgr: Looks like it was an internal routing problem in our data center - but we did not get a notification but a miraculously working server again Are you by chance referring to the SMS that I sent a certain administrator?

@Uwe: Contact sheet with >= 20 thumbnails and each about 200 width or 3 pictures from the movie, clip or picture collection, size at least SD size (576 pixel width, height at least 40% of width) or the resolution of the movie Please explain to all mods that screenshots of the movie at the movie's resolution is acceptable.  I received this PM from a  :cens:: The set of pictures you have been uploading to certain torrents are way too small. Only upload high quality resolution pictures, at least bigger than the ones you've tried in the past. Failing to do so will get them disapproved, hence, no seed bonus points. The only reason he saw them to begin with is that the pics were deleted during the upload process, so I had to add them afterwards; hence the seed bonus remark (which I could care less about).  I include screenshots for two reasons:  to show the actual content of the movie and to visually demonstrate the resolution of the movie.  As I upload lots of vintage/older stuff, sometimes the best resolution is 320x240 which produces very small screenshots. Please avoid insulting names for a staff member!!!

@raphjd: The fact that someone came back after watching the video and gave you more SB, is an extremely rare thing. I can't speak for others, but I can assure you that I have returned to torrent listings to give seedbonus points after viewing videos. Am I that atypical? I have no way of knowing.

This one ? 2011-07-08 17:31:54 Torrent 110808 (out.of.hand.having.a.peek.at.orgy) was deleted by proem (broken file. I attached the wrong one. sorry.)
