That's pretty much what's happening and the reason is simple, it's double the efficiency of H264, meaning you require half the bitrate to get the same image quality. The issue is that people are taking lossy copies and compressing them even further, like you said yourself. Regardless of how much your HD can store or how fast your internet is, compression will always make itself more and more important through time as the demand for content it's availability grows out of control and even H265 is getting outdated nowadays. But encoding, just like AI upscaling, is designed to have a range of scenarios where it'll perform well and everything else have to be taken as is. This is precisely why it's more important to preserve the source material. But there are cases like mentioned by another user, where the source material is long gone and you're left with digital "enhanced" versions from 30 years ago... In this case using todays AI is much more a case of restoration than enhancement, I'd say.

There is no guarantee how this works on your client, and it's dependent on those "sequential" blocks actually being available. Finally, as for the "random" filenames on OF content - blame OF for that, not gaytor.rent... that's the way they come from OF, and IMHO, I'd rather folks left the filenames alone so it's easier to find dupes! I agree that a set of thumbnails might be nice - and, honestly, I seldom download OF content because most of it is shot on a phone and is less than a minute or 2 (or 5) in length... I wouldn't even keep videos of my own BF that were so short and worthless!

@lololulu19 You've made this same complaint over an over - at what point to you realize: no one here cares that you were punished, even though you have a large personal library and have been rather generous (by your own measure) with sharing that content. 2 things: When they remove the torrents here, they are not affecting the library you have on your computer at all... can't you beat off to the OLDER Staxus content that you already have? (Specifically: so no one misunderstands: what I'm really saying here is that, once you download - or even when you upload - the site has no direct ties to the files on your system, and there are no trackers (sorry for the use of the torrenting term) either (though there USED to be some watermarked content, this site no longer does that - if it ever was done BY THE SITE to begin with!) Your analogy to a library is badly flawed: If I purchase the latest novel from Steven King, read it, then give it to the library to allow others to read it too, that's one thing. But if I take Mr. King's novel, copy all of the pages onto loose-leaf paper, then sit outside the bookstore with a little sign that says "Why buy this novel? I'll give you a copy of mine for free!" It'd be one thing if we had purchased DVDs of this material (or, more modernly NFTs?) and mailed them to each other... but, this ain't that... If you're so dedicated to the content from Staxus, spend the $200/yr to subscribe to their site! The models you love so much can then be paid to perform!

I use Mullvad for my VPN service (without dedicated IP [they don't offer them yet]) for its long-standing performance for torrenting. I tried PIA with a dedicated IP but I became paranoid the IP could be traced and their performance was lack-luster in torrenting vs Mullvad. When I connect to this site I want to ensure that my activity is not traceable by my ISP or other potential prying eyes (i.e. government agencies). I do not want anyone to have the slightest notion that I am visiting this site, and it is the reason I use VPN, including initially accessing the site's domains (IPs) and logging in. What you are proposing runs counter to the very reason and purpose I use VPN for accessing and interacting with this site's domains: anonymity. Your concern may be well-founded and I can agree there is the potential for misuse by bad actors. But does that level of issue warrant enough severity as to prevent all VPN connectivity for initially accessing and logging into the site's domains via browser? I'd argue against that for the very benefit VPN provides those of us who use it legitimately for protection from ISPs, local government sniffing, etc..Think of all the people who may use VPN for the very protection of anonymity vs. being exposed and traceable. I can think of a handful of countries that will push gay men from the top's of buildings to their deaths with spectators cheering below. VPN is a service for a reason: it provides protection through anonymity and bypasses restrictions of access to content. I am sure the tech-gurus of the site know how to spot and identify the bad actors. For those of use who do torrent, are continually seeding thousands of torrents - we have the 'token' of our profile-identity embedded in our torrents. Perhaps there is some way the tech gurus can associate our web browser IP to our torrent tokens? Not sure, I'll have to defer to them on that.

@john32123666 I'm logged in with both sites ru and rent. sadly QTM hasn't been updated since 2018 so it only links up with the gaytor.rent address on it's login screen, there are no other options. Maybe the old address in QTM is what's causing the glitch? Guess the manual upload is the way from now on but I'm just interested if the QTM thing will get fixed in near future. It was so much more comfortable, easier and quicker than manual upload. Also this error didn't appear in the first week of domain name change.

I've been uploading files to this site.. for probably 20 years. However, a few weeks ago, I lost the ability to upload. It could have something to do with the site name changing from: gaytor.rent to gaytor.rent

If the torrent is dead and the link still exist it is possible to re-seed and re-post the content ... However if the link is deleted and the torrent files are gone, Unfortunately ... NO ... Unless you know exactly where the torrent source is ...
