@bi4smooth Hello. Thanks for your answer. I'll look for options/settings about cache, but transmission is quite simple. I download large files from other trackers, much larger files and also more files per torrent. Never happened this. I have this behavior in two computers, both using Mac OS (Mojave) and Transmission (3). After posting I downloaded utorrent (which I would love to avoid, seems it was once a good client that became a bad player) and it seems to work perfectly (or at least with a healthy/usable variation). Connection does not drop to 0, although it fluctuates. I'll try to investigate a bit more, but it seems transmission might be nor playing well with this site, no idea why.

@bijicjic I am equally impressed that @MrMazda recognized this error from WinXP ... and that @bijicjic is actually using a system that old!

@mc1 If your ratio falls below .05 you are no longer allowed to download torrent and it will be taken until it get fix...However you can download freeleech: Download privileges require that a minimum ratio of upload to download amounts be maintained. Minimum ratios are based on the total amount you have downloaded and can be found here. As your downloading amount increases, so does the minimum required ratio. Continue seeding your files until well after your download has finished. Not sharing/seeding what you have downloaded will only hurt your ratio. When your account ratio is less than the Minimum Required Ratio, a warning will be automatically sent to you and a grace time period will start. During this grace time, you will ONLY BE ALLOWED TO DOWNLOAD TWO TORRENTS AT A TIME. If your ratio is not improved by the end of this time period, your download privileges will be temporarily suspended until it is fixed. (). You will, however, be allowed to download from freeleech torrents. Torrent Limits: Downloading of more than one torrent at a time is limited by the following parameters: Total uploaded amount is < 5 GB and your ratio is: < 0.75 = 3 torrents < 1.00 = 4 torrents 1.00 = 5 torrents Total uploaded amount is < 10 GB and your ratio is: < 0.35 = 3 torrents < 0.75 = 4 torrents < 1.00 = 5 torrents 1.00 = 6 torrents Total uploaded amount is < 25 GB and your ratio is: < 0.35 = 3 torrents < 0.75 = 5 torrents < 1.00 = 6 torrents 1.00 = 10 torrents The above limitations remain in effect for all accounts with User Status and a total uploaded amount greater than 40 GB. Once Power User status has been achieved, the following limitations go into effect: Total uploaded amount is > 25 GB and your ratio is: < 0.75 = 7 torrents < 1.00 = 8 torrents 1.00 = 15 torrents SOURCE: https://www.gaytor.rent/rules.php#96

If you still have the contents of the torrent, you can always download the .torrent file for the torrent, without it affecting your ratio. Just make sure that the contents of the torrent are in the folder where your torrent client downloads into by default before adding it to your torrent client, and it should start seeding it instead of downloading it again.

@w9sean It happen sometimes when torrent hangs [like disk overload/cache] or exits unexpectedly...Try closing your client and restart or simply ignore the status @ the GTRU dashboard it will go away...Try clearing your browser history cache and re-start your PC...

@galwaybiguy Keep in mind that you're not downloading from or through this site itself. While you download a "tiny" little torrent file from gaytorrents.ru, you're actually getting the contents (or bits of content) from the seeders DIRECTLY. That's the whole point of the torrent technology: no one source, no one person's upload limit to slow you down. (e.g.: 1 seeder on dial-up at 56kbps gets supplemented by 10 seeders on dial-up at 56kbps equaling up to 560kbps - on dial-up! Now consider that many people have service with 2Mbps, or like me, 25Mbps, and apply the multiplier... and zoom!!) Still, the path from their content to your system does not go through the tracker. The software endpoints (the seeder and you, the leecher) report back to the tracker about how much you've downloaded (or uploaded). Something to keep in mind: my ISP regularly sees huge amounts of content coming and going from my IP address on my "torrent port" and they will throttle that port. (It's in the agreement you "signed" when you got your high-speed connection). My fix for that is to change my port weekly. It's rather simple: Look in your torrent client settings, change the port, then (if you ever even had it open) login to you router and change the port forward you put in there for your torrent seeding.

@gayfotoman: My uploads seem extremely slow. Maybe I just haven't had the torrent that many people want to upload. UL Speed 32.72 kB (Ø 21.61 kB with 26 measurements) DL Speed 170.53 kB It depends on your bandwidth and multiple torrents running… the higher bandwidth the lesser torrent the higher speed you get... low bandwidth w/ multiple torrent running... speed will be divided in each distribution... Focus in one torrent @ a time when there are bunch of leechers and prevent downloading files when seeding is active to avoid speed slowness...

This problem is related to certain browser extensions, namely, download managers. Some download mangers (particularly video downloaders) seem to break the ability to download torrents. All you need to do is disable these extensions and refresh the page, and you will be able to download torrents again.

Just wanted to post an update. I updated to Qbittorent 4.3.0.1 and I don't have the issues anymore. I'm on Windows 7 still though, so that might make a difference. Also, always using a VPN of course. The only tracker that I ever had an issue with it to begin with was here so I'm not sure how it was fixed.

@greenbeans: I have this same problem however I do not partially download torrents so that cannot be the cause. Are there any other reasons that this may happen? If you were recently downloading torrents, there may be a delay in the data updating. Make sure you have not partially downloaded any torrents, though.  If a torrent is a folder with a video file and some photos, and you don't download the photos to make the torrent 100% complete, it will take up a download slot even though you aren't trying to download the rest.

@Daisuke69: I was wondering, if lets say I download 1 file that is 1 GB from a collection with a total size  of 10 GB, does that count as only 1 GB downloaded towards my ratio or 10 gb still? Just what you actually download, 1 GB.

I'm having a similar problem for the last few days including today (26 May 2020). First I tried to reseed a couple of requests. Nothing moved, nor were they showing on my seeding. I then tried, this morning, to download a file and nothing moved. I tried a few times to delete the torrent and then reload - no different. Gave up. Any reason you can think of as I've had no problems since I began using the site many years ago?

There're several reasons why you can't download a file: 1. The amount of leeches is proportionally greater to the seeds. 2. Your downloads are greater than your uploads (it doesn't meet the minimum ratio according to the amount downloaded). More infomation. if it isn't one of the above, check the configuration of your torrent client. I recommend to upload and download uTorrent. @Bkboy251: Hey guys Im kind new here, So I download the torrent file that I want then I have to find a place get these files. I use webtor site and Utorrent which works for some torrent files but there are a lot that don't work because there are no Peers. Can anyone recommend a site I can use? Thanks
