ianfontinell has it exactly right. Nothing is being deleted within minutes. A torrent only shows in browse and search while the tracker sees at least one seeder, and that check runs every minute. So if the uploader's client stalls or closes, the upload drops out of the listings a minute later, but it still exists on the tracker and comes right back the moment they seed again. Actual removal only happens when an upload never gets its initial seed for more than 3 days. So if your fresh upload vanished: start or fix the seeding in your client and it will reappear on its own.

@Xanthraxxx would you kindly check the tracker tab in your client and see what message it is reporting? the tracker status will most likely tell everything you need to know, if you are restricted, or if you are unable to reach the tracker at all due to technical issues. You can rest assured that no one has their download/upload privileges taken without notice, if you haven't got a message you most likely are not restricted.
