Freedom of expression is a right for everyone. As long as they are sticking to their little page, they can spout whatever crap they want. If they start to harass someone on their page/wall, then I will have a problem.

Think of Russia as our Far Far Right Republicans, and you can understand the politics in Russia.  They do not truly care for their people, all they care about is the money that they can make off the back of each citizen.  Once Vladimir Putin was put back in office, he took major control, amended the constitution a few times.  I was a Lieutenant Colonel of the KGB and Boris Yeltsin's right hand man.  I do not hate people, but man I do not like to say this but I hate this man.  :puke:

Being gay is not easy… but not only in Russia. In Brazil gay people are commonly insulted in a lot of environments. Religious men talks in the name of god against the "devilish homosexualism". So, the offenses grows up e turns to agression, by the back of god. The churchs, mainly the neopentecostal churchs, are using their power to convince their "lambs" vote in their candidates, so they can make laws limiting the homosexuals rights. I think the main problem to the homosexuals is the religion, not the government of any country in particular...

On the federal  level in the US, much like in France and the Constitutional Council, there will be a fight if and when it becomes law of the land and, DOMA (defense of marriage act defining marriage as between one man and one woman) has already been ruled unconstitutional so that's something. @ozyme: @myrea: I had the impression that Austrália was very gay friendly tho… much more than Europe. Australia is very gay friendly but not when it comes to marriage as yet but the support is growing. Religious groups are very powerful in Australian politics and they are against same-sex marriage. same with America: religious groups very powerful in US politics. We're winning by default tho- as the federal gv't has decided to allow individual states to dictate same sex marriage laws, those laws banning such unions are one by one being ruled unconstitutional. Pennsylvania the most recent US state to now fully legalize same sex marriage. 19 down, 31 to go! However  slowly, I agree re: @Dax: …It may not happen tomorrow, but soon all Australian states, all states in the US, all EU member states and several other countries in the world will be able to celebrate the right to same-sex marriage. @Speedmaster8: @ myrea : I wouldn't think too much about people, who argue with words like "destroy" in the same sentence as they want laws to be repealed. I only know a very few examples all over the world, where developments for human rights had been changed back to the former definitions, so I really think that you shouldn't care too much about such nonsens. Humans will constantly move forwards, some a bit faster than other ones, but we definetly make more and more efforts - all over the world.  :true:

After 4 years I've still to understand how and why did they allow the Lehman crisis to explode while a soft landing was absolutely possible with not negligeable advantages for the American taxpayers.
