@JohnAllenson: The ways that they detect planets around other stars is either by tiny fluctuations in movement (gravity from a planet is moving the star a little) or fluctuations in brightness (when a planet passes between the star and us.) Distant bodies in our solar system take so long to travel in their orbits that we might be trying to figure things out with only 1% of the information.  It's fascinating how little of space we've actually looked at. @kalayaan: Didn't she died in the ending of Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) She was stabbed in the back and dropped from a roof in Halloween: Resurrection (2002), but it wasn't said whether she died or not. I also read somewhere that they may ignore both the H20 and Resurrection storylines.

It's November 24. And still there's nothing interesting.

I look at it this way: if you had an annoying friend, an abusive boyfriend or spouse, someone with a severe personality disorder (who doesn't try to deal with it), someone who mentally/emotionally abuses you, who constantly belittles you, etc., I think there would be near-universal agreement that you should disengage, stop trying to be friends, divorce them, do what you need to do to protect yourself, both physically and emotionally. So why should it be different just because it's a family member. Life is too short to put up that shit and you're just not going to be able to "fix" them or the situation. Set boundaries, disengage, even terminate all contact if that's what it takes. Your life will be significantly improved.

@JohnAllenson: I went to my big gay choir rehearsal.  I had hot apple cider.  the choir had a costume contest.  While there was a street party outside I just headed home. Such a festive time!  Was the children's choir rehearsing as well?

@hylas: I get the impression that it's hard for people to be monogamous, period. Gay or straight, in this or any other day and age. But if monogamy is what you desire, rock on with what works for you! I agree. This myth that only gay relationships struggle with cheating partners is damaging to our psyche. I hear all sorts of things about failed straight marriages, even in somewhat conservative communities.
