Ringu is a masterpiece! I remember when I watched for the first time… OMG!

I watched the 2 sequels (Ringu 2 and Ringu 0) a little after, both are good but not as good as the first one.

After a long time I watched Rasen, the first sequel to Ringu, but it was such a weird experience, I understand why they pretended that this first sequel didn't exist and made Ringu 2 instead. Rasen changes the tone and makes the story something else, from the supernatural horror in Ringu we go to a sci-fi spin on Rasen. But it was a nice experience, something like a parallel world version.

Haha, no, I'm kidding, it's not that bad, but it was so dissapointing. They planned to make an antology series and in the last minute had to wrap-up everything in a movie, and it shows! Looks so clumsyly made. Only two storylines where actually based on Clive Barker's Books of Blood, the other one is new, not written by him, althought it gets a few elements from his short story Dread, which never got a proper good adaptiation.

Noomi and Amanita are my favorites too, such a beautiful couple! They are so smart and really love each other. I love all of them. I also love the love triangle Kala, Rajan and Wolfgang.

Lito, Hernando and Dani are lovely too! Sun is so amazing, she's perfect and Capheus (specially Season 2) is so special and sweet. Both are so brave on their own way. I was really rooting for all of them.

I was getting more and more into Will and Riley. Riley, I liked her since day 1, I was very intrigued by her mysteriousness, she is very different from the rest, (even in such a diverse group) and it was really nice to know more of her, to understand where her pain comes from and why she does the things she does.

Will was kind of a lesser character for me in the beginning, but I started to like him a lot more as the series went on.

And the side characters were so much fun, and so many good villains!

That show is amazing!

There is The Bare Witch Project, three straight friends (80% of the time naked) and a gay villain (taking advantage of them). There is more than 1 version of this one, the author had to make changes to get in a contest, so if you get the one with XXX moments in the second half, that one isn't the 'pure' one. Very nice settings, creepy, great villain, well-written, but the three leads are kinda dumb and have blank personalities, I guess that was the idea.

So sad this thread died. It's such and interesting subject.
