Communication, Talk, talk talk - about everything and anything - Even death and funeral arrangements or cancer etc etc. Don't let sex be top priority or it will erode everything you've built. Try always to see from each other's perspective, and it's ok if you don't absolutely like the same things - just don't be condescending about it or harbour nastiness - otherwise, you're harbouring destructive traits and you really should live alone (as you will find this in every person you grow with) In ways of supporting your partner, sometimes, you might have to sacrifice your patience, or some of your time, or time with your friends, to be with this "best friend and lover" , but nothing too drastic - As long as each partner aims at putting forth 60% to care for each other, then there's overlap for when times are super tough. As your relationship transcends years as opposed to weeks, you start to acquire history. It can be overwhelming as you might wonder what you might be missing looking at the green grass over yonder. It's nothing, you're not missing much at all. You also will have to start ALL over again from the beginning, only to survive 3 years more with the new guy before you find out you don't like it every time he smells his fingers after he eats chicken You should also talk to your partner about monogamy (if that is what you both seek) and revisit this subject every few years. WE men  do tend to get a tad boring, so sometimes a  relationship needs reassurance that the sex hasn't become something that isn't working anymore or is no longer "enough"  - People do change - or … People finally show their true colours.... I could go on and on. I will stop for now...

@scratcher71: People still practice it, mostly religious groups from around the globe. I know that in africa, it was done for initiation into manhood, however people bled to death, men and women, because at that time, science/medical sources weren't available. Bled to death?

@ColinTNM: Gay men were invented by well off middle-class white Americans sometime after the second world war. If that's true, we owe those folk an immense debt of gratitude. ;D

Obviously coming out is different to everyone, but I found that different situations meant that I was "coming out" multiple times. So what I mean by this is that whilst I told my close friend group and felt relieved because I was able to be more "myself" around them, I also came out to my parents, and work colleagues on separate occasions. I'd say that in 99% of situations, it's better for your mental health, but it also isn't for everyone as well. My personal experience was that I didn't feel like I could come out to my parents until I was independently away from home with a solid car and a job for fear of being kicked out and disowned like all the horror stories you hear of. That's certainly far from what happened, but sometimes you just hype yourself up that way and it was a huge relief lifted off my shoulders after feeling like I had been hiding my true self. I also adopted a strategy early on that I wouldn't hide and if anyone asked if I was gay, I'd tell them straight up and not dodge the question, but if they asked if I had a girlfriend, I wouldn't make excuses or anything, just say no, and if people pressed and asked why, tell them straight up I liked guys. It was much better than hiding and dodging and less tiring trying to fake a smile when someone would say "no worries, mate, you'll meet the right woman soon". There was a running joke at work for a little while when I was in a relationship and my work colleagues noticed my mood lifted and they kept asking me, so who's the lucky girl, and I'd just joke and say "Me!". Because I was playing coy they termed me "under new management" and were very surprised when I introduced my then "boyfriend" as "new management" We all had a good laugh and life rolled on because everyone through i was straight and it became an in-joke for others that didn't know in the building that didn't work in the team I was in.

My Uncle Dominic. He is my father’s best friend. Has been since before I was born. Incesty feelings aside… he's one of the most beautiful men I have ever seen (I don't say that lightly). I love photography (got into it when I was 9 or 10). I have shot some amazingly beautiful people in traveling & here in uni. I love art that displays the beauty of the human form. Uncle Dom stands out. He seriously has some other worldly looks. He's 6'6", skin that looks like caramel, is fit as fuck and looks like someone took way too much time carving him from the best materials available in the universe. He's 42 and looks 28-32 or so other than the little salt & pepper that comes out when he has a goatee. I have accidently on purpose seen him in the buff. Um... everything is in proportion. He is what would happen if Patrick Fillion's art were made real & someone took DNA from Space Cadet & Ghostboy to make a baby. If I thought for second that he’d be up for it… yeah I’d go there. When I have had my dick in had and pictured myself bottoming... he's it.
