Open signup

I was wondering if open signups have been stopped since people can now buy invitations.

I used to let people know on GTN when .ru was having an open signup. If there are no more plans for one, I can let them know that and give them a link to the signup notice. A small problem is that people there will not have been following the bitcoin discussion.

I think it's a good idea to donate for invites to make the site sustainable. See sceneaccess.

My edit. Most sites I know make the exchange of anything other than  :bighug: for an invite a flogging offence.

I have no great feeling one way or another, I just wanted to pass any change of policy on

Given our history of opening and closing registration, I don't think it's permanent.

Aside from what Apathetic pointed out, another positive result might be users valuing their accounts more and trying to be good members.

Thank you, it's just I like to keep people up-to-date on GTN when they ask. Getting them to keep up-to-date with my up-dates is a whole different matter
