      Hi all

Is it just me but i have noticed since the changes the lack of upload seed on torrents.I currently have 6 freeleech torrents with no upload speed downloading.I have uploaded 10 torrents at least since the site change and i was lucky to get 2x Upload credit on all of them but yet the download speed system remains unchanged? Has anyone had this issue it will effect the ability to maintain a correct ratio.

@willow1 the tracker has nothing to do with the speeds you get in your torrent client, this might be just a coincidence if it started when the new site launched. the tracker only serves as a peer list that instructs your client on who to connect with, if you get low speeds it will be because either you or the peer you've connected with have a speed limit.

so to clarify, there is no upload system and download system controlling speeds or anything of the sorts.

i don't know to which extent there could be a real problem with your machine/client, because you said you've managed to reach a 2:1 ratio in various freeleech torrents, which indicates you're properly able to seed.

Before the site changes i could average 50gb on uploads by uploading torrents/free leech in a day to keep a good ratio, since the site changes i have struggled to get 20gb uploaded thats not a coincidence as im not affected on any other sites.

@willow1 I've certainly noticed a fall in both download and upload speeds, which are a factor in traffic volume, though I can't figure out how the site changes might affect that.

A while ago, I often saw speeds up to those advised by my ISP - 8mps down, 2mps up. Not all the time, obviously, but when downloading an already well seeded torrent, uploading a new one of my own or in both cases when there were multiple torrents active at the same time.

Since the change I never see these speeds - up or down - in circumstances that are the same as before. Not rarely, never!

I've just changed my VPN provider and have been able to enable port forwarding. As I hoped/expected, this has enabled me to seed many torrents that I previously couldn't. I currently have seventeen active uploads, yet the maximum speed I reach is 1.6mbs. In 'normal' circumstances, I'd expect it to be very near 2.0mbs, sometimes even going a tad over for a brief spurt.

As I say, I don't know WHY there might be some sort of correlation, and logic suggests there shouldn't be. It is interesting though that you're not the first person to mention this, excluding myself, which does make one wonder whether this is just coincidental for multiple members, or whether there really is some kind of correlation we're missing.

Other opinions are also available. They're not right, obviously, but they are available.

Example today i uploaded at a torrent at 489mb i would normally hit 3gb for that download before it would stop seeding completely it stopped at 989mb 2 days ago i uploaded a film at 1.5gb would normally hit 4gb i got barely 2gb back before it stopped and same i picked 7 torrents on freeleech to up my ratio and one was uploading the rest stayed on seeding so there is an issue somewhere and as i said this started with site changes
