Im trying to find a software to use that will screen cap at a set interval through each video and then place all those images into one image with timestamps in the corner for each shot. VLC is supposedly able to do it but having trouble... potentially if it was just a software, with no manual editing to do, that would be greaat! I just dont remember the one I used to use lol all help appreciated thank you!

@nagatha95 Video Thumbnails Maker for me every time, if you're a Windows user. I couldn't find a link to their actual site, but you can find out more about it here.

It's free to use, with one panel of each thumb replaced with a logo, or fairly cheap to buy (£20, I think, a couple of years ago).

You can vary the size and number of each shot included, change the time frequency, drag a whole folder of videos into it and leave it to create the thumbs, save those thumbs to the same folder as the files they were generated from or to a separate one - great for adding a "Thumbs" directory for torrents, etc. (Some of these may be restricted to the paid version.)

You see the free version used a lot on here. In good old 'Blue Peter' style, "Here's one I did earlier":

No longer being able to use this is one of the very few regrets I have about having just changed my OS to Linux!

Other opinions are also available. They're not right, obviously, but they are available.

@Kevin4fm: Im pretty sure VTM works in Bottles. The last time I used it was many years and it did work.

Im curretly using MTN with a GUI wrapper. But that is EOL so I cant recommend it.

Mosaic looks promising, But I haven’t tested it out yet.
