New Rating System and Asian BL's

Let's hope the new rating system encourages uploaders to bring back the asian bl's. From where I sit, they are sorely missed.

@jokuihmemies I'm guessing he's referring to the fact that one particular member has a hangup about Asian BL shows, and consistently rated them one star whenever they appeared. Often, before they'd even been downloaded once. This led to at least one member I know of deciding not to bother uploading them any more, and may have affected others similarly. Although, it made me want to upload MORE, just to give him the finger.
There's a new "Report this" button specifically for ratings, so hopefully that antisocial behaviour will be a thing of the past.
@arrgh30 Unfortunately, most of the BL stuff I uploaded here came from "another-gay-torrent-site-that-probably-shouldn't-be-named-here" that was taken down recently, so my main source of new material has gone. Daily Motion is my only source now (oh, and maybe YouTube) and what's there doesn't tend to be that good quality, and most have only hard coded English subtitles.

@Kevin4fm .net seems to have lots of BL stuff recently. Feels like half the page is BL whenever I look on there.

@frostycab It's not a site I use, though the landing page looks familiar enough that I think maybe I once did. I did try my email address there a while ago, but there doesn't seem to be a forgotten password link so if I ever was a member, I guess I've lost that now.

@kevin4fm This is exactly what I was referring to. Hopefully we can bring back all of the variety of BL's we used to have.
If you want to know more about asian BL, I like the "World of BL" website (https://world-of-bl.com). BL started out as a category of Japanese manga/graphic novels, but in modern times refers to man on man romance stories in multiple media types. They can range from pretty PG to hard R (if you're familiar with the American movie rating system).

As an uploader and long-time content sharer specifically focused on Asian Chub/Bear content here on GT since 2008, I’ve been reading this thread with a lot of interest.
While the discussion has been centered around Asian BL (Boys' Love), I want to chime in and say that the "anti-social behavior" mentioned regarding unfair low ratings also severely impacted the Asian Chub/Bear uploading community. Like the BL uploaders, several great uploaders of Chub/Bear content I know simply gave up or left because they were tired of seeing their efforts immediately targeted with 1-star ratings before the content was even checked.
It’s genuinely disheartening when specialized niches get targeted this way.
So, I really want to express my sincere hope that this new rating system—and the ability to report malicious rating behavior—will mark a turning point. We used to have an amazing variety of Asian Chub/Bear content, and I miss it dearly.
To any former (or potential new) uploaders of Asian Chub/Bear content reading this: please consider bringing your content back home to gaytor.rent (GT). We need your unique contributions, and I believe this new system will provide a much more welcoming and supportive environment for us all.
Let's make this platform diverse and great again.
