Is it possible to change your username?

When I created my account (over a decade ago), I made a mistake with my username.

Is it possible to correct it from lessrepresed to lessrepressed?

No! We do not rename accounts. The only possibiliti is to first delete your old account (Use this form to delete your present account.)
But keep in mind that after you delete your old account there is a waiting time of 60 days until you can create a new account
Only after that time you can create your new account!

@lessrepresed as John mentioned, there is no direct way to change your username. You can however (with staff assistance) create a second account, then have staff merge the stats information from your old account to your new account.

There is a down side to this... Any SBP you have collected will NOT be transferred to your new profile. Your upload stats, download stats, and overall ratio however will transfer over to the new account.

@MrMazda Thank you for the information. I'm tempted to do this, because when I signed up I didn't know that my user name would be a "thing" in the forum or on torrent comments. (For example, I have usernames with banks and frequent flyer programs that nobody ever sees.)

For those curious, my username is based on having some years back living in a large city down in the US, and my mailing address was "PO Box 91103." I though I's just change the "P" to an "E" (for electronic" and be done with it. It turns out that 91103 is a post code for an area near Los Angeles, and I sometimes get PM's from members near there who would like to hook up.

It's tempting to make a change (I could convert my SBP to upload and thus not lose them), but it's a lot of work for me and the moderators, and I'm not sure it's worth it.
