And I don't see why not. They're obviously at risk of never coming back, so I think that qualifies them.
As for dead torrents, there's less of a guarantee that they'll come back, but it's definitely worth a shot.

YES, dead torrents count.
As pointed out, they may never come back, but we might as well try.

wow that got out of hand very quickly, if mods can check last time a torrent had a seeder maybe it will make more sense. torrents with 1 seeder die and come back all the time whenever that seeder is away. but a torrent that's been dead for months/years... maybe it's best to request a reseed and wait before freeleching.

This seems off-topic for the thread (debate the rule elsewhere) but since you started it here: the freeleech encourages people to download / seed to improve their ratio. A solo reseed request doesn't always connect to someone who reseeds, this system is much more robust for recovering a stalled torrent. Also, wdym "out of hand"? One person made an additional request.

For the record, I've been requesting a reseed on these - twice a week - since November. I thought that was implied in the "chasing" part of my request...I even asked another mod for help directly.
It is perfectly fair to say that this is "my last hope" to get these
You'd think someone who has seeded over 30TB of data would know how the site works...
Still, again, I want to thank the Staff who accepted my request here... I have renewed hope
