Hey. This may have already been discussed but I can't sift thru for an answer. I love to seed. Share my favorites. And it's been a while so I subscribed to a VPN. And...it seems NO seed points. Is there any way to seed and get points using a VPN? Thank you!

You need a VPN provider that supports port forwarding, which is a requirement for other computers to contact yours. Without port forwarding, you can only exchange data with other computers when the exchange is initiated by you, for example, when you are downloading.

        What is your VPN provider?

@ianfontinell-0 Think its hard to get NAT green when doing VPN unless its thru manual fixed IP

I'm on SharkSurf and never had ever got it green - so I tend to switch off my VPN when I'm downloading torrents and doing upload

@harry76 sharksurf doesnt have port forwarding feature, the only reputable vpn I know that fully supports p2p is ProtonVPN.

With ProtonVPN, once you enable port forwarding, it gives you a list of servers with P2P support, and once you connect it gives you a port number, you just have to set your torrent client's listening port to that number.

@ianfontinell-0 Thanks for the response - something for me to consider for my next VPN upgrade
