      Hi Guys,
I need some help /advice. I am preparing a large collection torrent, Since the tracker is public, I tend to change the titles making them generic such as BB2, BB5 and such because I di not want someone to claim copyright and have the torrent removed. I was told to use a thumbnail maker as it would help site user determine what the title is even with my generic name change. Is this true? I have no experience with this subject. Below is the message I received. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

May be you should you a software as Video Thumbnails Maker or others.
VTM is an easy freeware, you almost have nothing to do.
It generates thumbnails with the name of the video. It can be used on entire folders and subfolders.
Put all the contact sheets in one separate folder to download and it's done : people download this folder and can choose the videos they want to download.

Firstly, the tracker is not public as you stated, it's private.

        Additionally:

        • The Title must specify the theme and the degree of completeness (all videos from 2010-2011; full site rip or complete as of a specific month/year; videos from a studio or featuring an actor; numerical series 100-200, 301-499; alphabetical listings of A-C, D-F; n number of clips of a particular porn theme; etc).

        • Any information, e.g. the title, categories, pictures and description must correctly represent the content of the files shared with the torrent and avoid misleading members about the content. This applies as well to additions, votes or comments made by other members than the original uploader. In doubt, rather than providing wrong information, omit it.

        • No coded names and titles, e.g. "J0hn D 0 3" for John Doe. Torrent titles must match the name of the video, program, etc. when known.Updated

        • At least one good quality picture is mandatory for the torrent presentation.

        • Descriptions in the title such as "Hot!", "Must See!", "Best Ever!", "New" or "Latest" are unacceptable. The comment area is the only appropriate place to give your personal opinion of the content or otherwise make personal requests.

So yeah, going for generic names might save you from DMCA strikes but sure isn't going to save you from admins doing their job.

As for the software, Video Thumbnails Maker is the best option for large amounts of media. Make sure to download a cracked version to avoid undesired watermarks.

@ianfontinell Sadly on any given day there's a good chance that you will be able to uploads breaking at least 1 or more of those 5 rules, though I admit it's far better now than it was a few years ago. A classic example is when users upload videos but then only add stock pics of the performers rather than screengrabs of the video itself.

I have to admit that when I do find a torrent that breaks one of those rules I'm usually hesitant to report it, usually for one of two reasons. Firstly, I might actually decide to take a chance on downloading it, and don't want to see it taken down when I'm at 40%, but secondly because I could report so many of them that I think the admins would end up getting sick of me (if they're not already!) It's a question of finding the line between getting new content uploaded and being petty. Unless something is blatantly misleading I often err on the side of caution.
