      @MrMazda having 5 of these 2TB drives is bit messy with all the cables and things so it's time for a larger upgrade.

        @Rotron I am ideally looking for 2. One for my TV tower (in my bedroom) and one for my server in the basement. For the server, it would be the ONLY external drive. For my TV Tower, it would replace the existing 500 GB drive to become the ONLY drive.

        I am in Southern Ontario (Canada), so Amazon is perfect

            @john32123666 Same two brands that I use and recommend. I worked for Toshiba for 5 years and they are really durable.

              @Rotron 2 TB.... That's cute.... My laptop has a 5 TB external. My TV Tower with porn and movies has 16 TB, and my server has an 8 TB porn drive.

              When my drives start to get full, I don't start deleting stuff.... Oh no, no, no.... I just get bigger drives. Haha. My porn collection is over 6 TB between the three machines.

              I have a NAS with 48TB and one with 104TB, plus about 60TB in various external drives.

                @raphjd Holy Cow! You must be the Terrabyte King here. I want a Synology NAS but I still find it impractical for the asking price of the unit but I'm willing to spend the money on the drives itself.

                  @Rotron

                  Here's my micro guide on NAS brands;

                  1. TerraMaster is good value for the money, but the least user-friendly of the big 3.

                  2. QNAP has the best software, but not as well built as Synology.

                  3. Synology is the best-built but lags behind QNAP for software.

                          @john32123666 Those are for physical storage... I'm looking for the kind of storage you need to store mass amounts of digital porn haha
