qBittorrent torrent creator question

Newbie here and I could use a bit of help. I've got two, possibly related, issues that have shown up with the torrent files I've created with qBittorrent (v4.4.1).

The first is that when I create a torrent file for a folder, I get some weird interstitial ".pad" files in between the regular files. See, for example, the H.I.M. (About Him: Freshman Year) series I uploaded at https://www.gaytor.rent/details.php?id=e615fde06588b49da3c9db96fa8466f29e2415b5723200ae&filelist=1#filelist. Those extra files in the file list don't seem to be getting in the way of seeding or downloading but I don't see those from other uploaders and it would be nice to get rid of them.

The second is that I've had two reports from people who have complained that their own torrent client is rejecting my torrent files as invalid. The first comment in the link above is one of them, "i'm using Transmission BT to try and download it and it say the file is invalid. anyone else having this issue?"

I'm using the built-in Torrent Creator in qBittorrent with the default settings:

Torrent format: Hybrid (other options are V1 and V2)
Piece size: Auto
Private torrent: checked
Tracker URLs: http://tracker.gaytor.rent:2710/announce

Is there anything I can do to remove the extraneous files and ensure that other torrent clients can use my torrent files? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Padding files are created by BitComet. Their use. ensures that no two data files in a multi-file torrent occupy the same BitTorrent "piece". They are supposed to be hidden or invisible to BitComet users but can actually harm the performance in other clients because these files are transferred, which takes up bandwidth.

You can switch to other client like utorrent and other that does not create this type of unwanted files ...

@john32123666 : Thanks for the info. In this case, it's qBittorrent rather than BitComet but it looks like it's the same issue (see https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/15964, for example).

From a Reddit thread on this (https://www.reddit.com/r/qBittorrent/comments/rguyp0/pad_files_being_created_how_do_i_stop_this/), it looks like there used to be an "Optimize Alignment" flag in qBittorrent that allowed you to turn that setting on or off. It doesn't look like that flag is still available, unfortunately.

I'm reluctant to switch to uTorrent, given its recent issues, advertising, and bloatware. I'll try the "V1" Torrent Format option instead of Hybrid to see if that solves both problems.

No need to switch - even if the qBittorrent client DOES create the padding files, nearly every other torrent client also recognizes them for what they are and they DO NOT actually create those files when downloading the torrent.

To close the loop on this, switching from "Hybrid" to "V1" solved both problems. The padding files are no longer in the file list and a user who was not able to use a previous torrent file was able to use a new file I created with the modified setting.
