This is the first time I see a message that my ratio is too high and I am sharing too many torrents (max 15). Where can I read about this principle. I'm using Deluge. Need to pause / delete old torrents that I used to download and now share?
-
@smokpl Have you checked your Deluge's Queue settings? Change the 15 to a higher number that you are comfortable with, and change your desired ratio if you want to share more than the default or current setting.

This is indeed a setting on YOUR end (on your client), not on the tracker.
I currently seed (when my VM is up - right now my hosting provider is down GRRRR) about 70 torrents... but my systems are virtual, in the cloud (with extremely high bandwidth), are dedicated to seeding/leeching torrents, and are Linux based (no artificial limits on TCP connections like Windoze).... -
@bi4smooth I have no connection restrictions. Computer dedicated to sending. Home link (Linux computer), Upload 10MB. Previously, I had about 70 torrents and it was ok. Now when I entered (bug) torrent status, I had this message (it looked like it was from gaytorrent). Until I am not such a specialist. I changed the queue size from 100 to 15 (send). I don't know how to optimally set up Deluge. Usually I see 3-7 downloaders, upload speed varies (1-10MB). I have now about 90 files available, the number of total / send queue was set to 100 (from today 15).

@ricky I had a queue of 100, I just switched to 15. With 70 torrents it was fine, now I have ~ 90 and it started throwing an error on most torrents. How I got into torrent status.
I put back 100, all torrents active, no queue. 5 people download for 6MB. It did not throw an error. I don't want to come over here. I have not read about the maximum number of active torrents. -
@smokpl In the Guides section, LoopyD shared his settings. Please see if this will help you to optimally set up your Deluge:

gaytorrent.tw: Error: Bad Ratio: Ratio:8.749 (To many Torrents.. Your current limit is 15 at the same time. See Rules / To fix limits you could Donate)

@smokpl Please check out the Rationator at https://www.gaytor.rent/rationator.php

@ricky Thank you. I have no problems downloading, all files are complete. Ratio 8/1. Sometimes I get this message on the files I share. There is a ratio for sharing/uploading (not for downloading?). Is there a limit to how many torrents I can share at one time? I'll download 4 torrents for a week. It's not a problem.
-
@smokpl This shows how many you can be downloading simultaneously: https://www.gaytor.rent/rules.php?lan=1#96
Ratio for sharing needs to be at least a full 1:00 (1 to 1) to be fair, but to share more than that will be great for your ratio and helps build up a buffer in case you need it for a torrent that you want.
No limit on how many finished torrents you can keep seeding (after hopefully reaching the fair 1:1), other than your personal goals or equipment/bandwidth limits.
