there are option (settings) in Tixati that can make this happen.

Look at the results from THIS Google search, particularly the first TWO hits… and DO THE OPPOSITE of the settings they explain.

This could also be a sign of a port forwarding issue. You need to ensure that the port that your torrent client uses (which I can PM you with if needed since it's listed in your profile) is forwarded from your router through to your computer. Most home network setups use a single router to bring together all of your devices within your home, and mask them all behind a single internet connection. The problem with this is that if you do not have the correct port forwarded both in TCP and in UDP, your router does not know which device to forward the packet to, and thus the connection gets dropped.

When you're downloading the torrent on the other hand, you establish an outbound connection to the other peers that you're downloading from, and in turn can send upload traffic through the return paths from that connection. Sending data in this manner does NOT require any special port forwarding, as the port is already open through the active connection. Once you stop downloading content, there is no longer an active connection that you've established with those other peers, and thus the seeding stops.

        Just a thought…

I meanwhile installed Tixati on a laptop that prefer not to use for that, but I was still curious. I copied the file over too and still have exactly the same problem. The Windows firewall asked me if I want to allow Tixati, I said yes and also didn't change any settings in Tixati or Windows.

In my router settings, I added a port forwarding for the port I defined in Tixati. It wants to know if it's TCP or UDP, but no matter which one I choose, it still doesn't work.

Don't forget that other private and public trackers work perfectly for me. So I don't understand why I would have to fiddle around with my router just for GTru…

As I said, you need to forward the port BOTH in TCP AND UDP

Guess what, the port forwarding is currently set to "TCP/UDP" (as opposed to TCP and UDP alone) and still doesn't work.

I tested the port with http://canyouseeme.org and it says it's open, but still no uploads in Tixati.

I kind of have the same problem. I can upload and download just fine. If I am one of a couple of seeders its fine. But as soon as seeders start to multiply? I go dead on the uploads.
I think the trackers and other clients are going for the faster connections and thats why our seeding comes to a halt.

                    1. You are not seeding any torrents

                    2. The torrents that are in your profile do not actively have any leechers.

I can try to work on number 2, but if you do not seed your torrents, there is nothing anyone can do to help with the problem.

I'm not seeding 24/7, but every other day for a few hours ::)

See screenshot. I also saw that you requested some re-seeds from me and I put them on active. But don't expect me to be online all the time, especially as you're in a different timezone.

What a coincidence and very suspicious. Now that you asked for a re-seed, some guys happen to be downloading from me. There's nothing I changed on my side. It's not always a steady connection, but I get a few kilobytes of upload instead of just some bytes when I start up Tixati…

Well… To be honest, I did a little more than just request a re-seed... I also put a freeleech on them and/or promoted them back to the top of the list because they were older torrents. This generally encourages users to download them. When I saw that part of your problem was that there were no leechers, I took it upon myself to give the torrents a bit of a booster to help fix that part of the equation for you. 🙂

EDIT: I just now noticed that there are three torrents that have no seeds at all, so I requested reseed of them again. If you were to start up your torrent client and seed only those 3 torrents for a while, you should be able to maximize your upload credit. 🙂

This explains why today there's no activity going on anymore…

At least now I know that seeding on GTru actually works. But now what? One of the torrents I'm seeding currently shows three leechers here on the website. In Tixati, it shows me "two seeds are available". Yet still no one downloads from me. Is it indeed like vaylon wrote because there are seeders with faster connections available and we are being ignored? What's the point of seeding and a ratio system if we are not treated equally?
