Lately I've been doing a lot of downloading of freeleech torrents. Might as well grab those while I can and seed them as much as possible. My goal is to get my Ratio to a 2.0
Ive been leaving the torrents going and they upload at pretty decent speeds, but I'm noticing my upload credits haven't really been moving up much, even though I'm uploading about 50-100gb/day over the last 2 weeks. In this time, though, it looks like I've only gotten credit for uploading about 200gb total. I went today to investigate a little and it seems that the uploads aren't being completely recognized by the site.

For example, 1 torrent (albeit a small one), had a 5.72 ratio (71mb DL / 416 mb UL), however when I look at my "seeding torrents" list it says I've uploaded 51mb .

Others have a much more substantial difference :

      vs

Is there a specific reason this is happening? does it take several days for the uploads to count and register? I don't see the point in wasting my bandwidth if i'm not getting the credit (I don't mind seeding, but I would rather seed to a 2.0 ratio and then stop)

For the record I'm using transmission 2.84 (14306) on Mac OS 10.11.3

It would appear that you may have stopped the torrent at some point and restarted it. Once you stop a torrent, your torrent client will still acknowledge the full amount seeded from the beginning of it being added to your torrent client. The tracker however will only show how much you have uploaded on that particular session. Once you stop then restart the torrent, the session is refreshed and the tracker count goes back to 0. You would need to look at your overall ratio to be able to tell, but the problem comes in when you're dealing with numbers that are over 1 TB. 1 TB = 1024 GB, so it takes a while to make up the difference when the gap in the numbers is that large.
