        Allowed Torrents

30 When uploading, this is the number of active torrents (upload or download) you are allowed to have connected to the tracker. This is to make sure your upload speed remains fast enough to initially seed your new torrent.

Is this part of the new system?

If I am allowed to download 50 torrents a day and you refuse that I may reseed them to equal my ratio, how this is going to work?

I understand that the allowed torrents for upload should be limited for some slow internet connections, but as far that I know, you messure as well the upload on a regulary basis. You could limit from these measurements instead of everthing else, because I don't see any reason why you would limit the seeding of fast internet connections.

Second on this behalf, I think that the actual seeded torrents from all users gets less very fast and old torrents disappear much faster, because there won't be any seeder.

That is a point which needs to be addressed internally, basically you can ignore [it, [b] if the following rule is respected:

"Upload only ONE NEW TORRENT AT A TIME in order to initially seed your upload as fast as possible. If multiple torrents are uploaded, they MUST be completed within 24 hours."

Consider that number in the Profile as a suggestion for inexperienced users.

I hate to bring this up again, but I still think that the new Rationator 3.0 rules are too restrictive for loyal members and would benefit from some improvements. First off, I do want to say that it was a great idea to implement the new system in order to ward off the cheaters and "hit and runners" and encourage uploads, and I'm glad that you are already seeing positive results with this new system. Kudos to whoever came up with it. 😉

On the other hand, these rules are also negatively affecting your most loyal members, and though not everyone is equally affected, many people have already complained about this limitation. So there needs to be a solution to this dilemma. The way I see it is that the lower tiers of the Rationator table (low download amount) effectively target the cheaters and "hit and runners" and prevents them from downloading a large number of torrents without uploading and then abandoning their account. However, as you start to get into the upper tiers of the Rationator table (higher download amount and higher minimum ratio), it stops targeting the cheaters and "hit and runners" and starts affecting your loyal members more. There are several ways to potentially correct this issue.

Several members have mentioned this previously, but why not eliminate the daily download limit of torrent files altogether for people that have been members of the site for a long time, have their account in good standing (good share ratio), and have UPLOADED a lot of data?? For example, the Rationator rules would apply to everyone, up to the point that a member reaches maybe 1TB of uploaded data, maintains a share ratio above 1.0, AND has been a member for over a year. Or something along those lines. Members with these statistics have proven that they are loyal members that certainly do not intend on cheating or screwing everyone else over.

Another way to correct the issue would be to extend the Rationator table beyond >800 GB of download (or upload) amount with a corresponding increase in baseline daily download limit, WITHOUT capping the limit at 50 maximum daily downloads. For example, with <1.0 TB the limit would go to 30, with <1.5 TB the limit would go to 40, with <2.0 the limit would go to 45, and so on.

I'm sure that there are other ways to address the limitation that loyal members feel has been placed upon them. But it is an issue that should be corrected. Even though 50 daily torrent file downloads may seem like a lot to some, it may be very cumbersome to others. There are people that simply cannot visit the website daily and can only do so once a week or even less often due to the burdens of work or school, who would backtrack to the last time they downloaded torrents from the site and catch up on the torrents they've missed since then. The limit of 50 downloads would definitely get in the way in this case.

There are also collectors (I may fall in this category), whether with hoarding issues or not, that have days when they want to download more than 50 torrent files per day, and why shouldn't they be allowed to do so if they have maintained their account in good standing for a long time and have proven that they are loyal members of the site?? And I must say that this is especially the case recently, since so many deliciously hott-looking torrent are being uploaded since the lifting of the ban of certain studios (i.e. CF and Titan).

I apologize for the long post, but I think this is an important issue that should be further addressed and corrected, and I needed to express my opinions on the matter. I hope they're taken into consideration and that the appropriate changes be implemented soon or, otherwise, reasons and explanations be given for why these specific changes would not result in the benefit of the more loyal members as well as for the site itself. Despite all of this, I still really really like this site and want the best for it.

            –CK

Last we heard this is still on Joker's "To Do List". However, like most of these Lists, and especially Joker's, you get one item off the list and 2 more get added and the priorities change from day to day.  :panic: it will happen in it's own time and it will be fair and just when it is changed.

I didn't mean to sound demanding. If I did, I apologize. I can only imagine how much stuff needs to be done "behind the scenes" on a daily basis that we regular users don't even fathom. Making sure that a website runs smoothly can't be an easy task, especially one like GT.ru that so many people visit. And I do have to say that I am very happy with the new upgrades that were recently done to the site.  :clap2:  I just hate it every time I get slapped in the face by the daily limit announcement while I'm happily downloading torrents.   But I'm sure they'll get to that update soon enough. So far I haven't been let down once by the guys here at GT.ru, so I'll just sit tight and wait for it to happen. 👼  I mean, while still downloading torrents of course…

Perhaps it helps you to know, that even me, being a co-inventor of the version 3.0 changes to Rationator gets "slapped in the face" as you put it by Rationator 3.0 permissions.

While long time members with good share ratios shouldn't been limited, still a daily limit of 50 seems to be rationally beyond any reasonable download activity. Who will ever watch all those downloads. Must be OCD (or harvesting the content shared by GayTorrent.ru's members for other monetized uses).

There is an identified need of adaptation for members not being here every day.

The current "Freeleech Fest" is soften the limits for new members, as these don't count to the permissions. There should be something for everyone within the about 40 new freeleech torrents daily.

Another adjustment has been made yesterday, as announced on the "Home" page, details there > https://www.gaytor.rent/rationator.php with increased limits for users having reached 0.4 minimum ratio requirement and above (which is useful only if the actual ratio is above that limit to download the torrent's data files / movies).

                                The updated graph:

                                To remember:
This is the baseline limit. the actual limit will be higher, If the share ratio is better, own torrents were uploaded or a recent donation made.
