If they don't they should learn how to google.

Sure, and I think the claimers also should do that.

I don't want to exacerbate the situation, but this does seem to be pretty unworthy treatment
of a well-behaved uploader by the staff hereI don't know what film is involved, but just read the staff's own assessment:
@Uwe:
When looking to IMdB, "Bob" the gay seems to be an important character.
IMdB is givung quite a few "gay" keywords (click "See more" there):
Coming Out
Gay Character
Homosexuality
Male Nudity
Gay Straight Relations
Male Rear Nudity
Gay Clubbut in a long list of other keywords.
There is a certain chance that I would approve such upload, but not sure, 50% chance. How can any film whose IMdB Plot keywords include
Coming Out & Gay Character & Homosexuality & Gay Straight Relations & Gay Club
NOT be considered sufficiently gay?@Uwe:
Believe us, we are not happy about that situation of being unable to clean clear cut gay non gay decisions.
I am for example wondering for what the "Spartacus" TV series have their place here.
No gays, just male bodies … AFAIKPrecisely!
Then too why, for example, is this torrent allowed?
http://tracker.gaytor.rent/details.php?id=29585NO gay content at all but "loads of straight sex"
(quoted from one of the torrent's 'Comments')Is the nudity of two pretty teenage boys enough to qualify?

....Perhaps, because they are among more than 50 other and the gayness of the character "Bob" is not a substantial element of the movie …
I was concidering to move it back, but please don't forget:
In addition this seems to be a high budget mainstream production from 19 November 2008 (France), which falls still for a few months under the "Blockbuster" (successful movie for GayThemed niche) rule … For that i would disapprove it for now.
As for the movie you linked to, it seems to had got wrongly tagged initially by the French site popular allocinéma.fr > hxxp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0vC0XbEkSc

The movie in question is RocknRolla.
We (the staff) are slagged off because we have an Auto Approval system, which means things slip past us. We (the staff) are slagged off if we suggest that Auto Approval be ended so things don't slip past us.
As I said earlier in this thread, AA users are posting a lot of stuff that has no business being here. They are violating our trust in them, then bitching at us for correcting the situation they caused.

Please don't let a few bad apple upset the cart. The AA people who made those mistake should have been warn or get their AA privilege revoke (at least temporary). While I don't normally condone dictatorship, this is a private site and not a democracy. As Mods you guys have the power to do what is best for the site. Just use it responsibly and give the person a chance present their case and learn from their mistake.

...Often AA privilege members are quite upset when we revoke that privilege (which can be re-earned). On the question of an upload being gay enough or not it might just lead to a long polemic without exit: to much grey zone of appreciation. Because of that we don't allow basically Gay Interest movies. We just can't define objective criteria what makes a movie special Gay Interest and isn't just interesting much gays or is of much interest to others, too.
On uploading
bannedstudio torrents (movies or pictures), there is no discussion and prior warning. -

The torrent was still allowed.Yes, it was me who decided to leave it on because of what is said on IMDb about this movie and I added to the description.
Surreal tale of a 14 year-old boy who dreams of escaping the loneliness from an unhappy home & sexual abuse (from his mother's boyfriend who is also his school swimming coach). One day his back mysteriously sprouts feathers and he can metaphorically fly away from it all. Written by Len Massaar
If we would take it off, most certainly the uploader or seeders will shout on us, why it wasn't gay enough. Whatever we do with grey zone movies, it will be wrong.
To better appreciate a movie, we would need to have watched it. That is just impossible. Still it would be an individual appreciation.

The "abuse" the boy suffered "from from his mother's boyfriend" was purely physical
There was no sexual content to it
"his mother's boyfriend" is strictly heterosexual and expresses no sexual attraction to the boy
Look at the IMDB "plot keywords" - you will find only Gay Interest & Teenager Nudity & Boy NudityIf a site member takes the time to report a torrent as inappropriate,
why don't you at least have the courtesy to contact that member if there is any doubt about the validity of the objection
The issue is not one of "individual appreciation", it concerns objective criteriaI bought that DVD because it was purported to have gay content
I felt cheated -

You are right to blame us for your Report still not having been handled.
The objective criteria I've used to approve it, is the statement about that movie on IMDb. the individual appreciation is if that is enough as no "gay" or "homosexual" etc. … key words are present (I saw that when approving that torrent and was hesitating, but...)
As being involved as the approver, I have only copied that statement into the description and not further handled that Report.
Remember, we don't got a copy of the movie.

The torrent was still allowed. And now we have 2 episodes of "Young Soldiers"!
Why???
Again, no response from the staff to a complaint -
I have moved away yesterday the Season 1 Episode 3 for not being Game Themed, which I saw in the torrent list as appearing new.
AFAIK there was no Report made on any "Young Soldiers" torrent …
BTW: Why so aggressive in the tone

hahahahahahahahahaahah
as raphjd said…. we cannot be right on everyone. somebody will still find something to complaign...
hey dudes... our team (including me) are no robots!!!!
twinkelsomething: you should better shut your mouth up a little bit, otherwise you may found yourself somewhere else....

I deleted 2 episodes of "Young Soldiers" the day after the 2nd episode aired in the UK.
I haven't seen any Reports about any more being uploaded.
-
Besides the contested "Gay / coming out" keywords from the RockNRolla entry on IMDB, some of the other "keywords":
"tied to chair" "tattoo" "fur coat" "scar"
"finger gun" "tennis court" "friendship" "golf club"
:crazy2:
It's plain to see that any perusal one may attempt within IMDB stands a good chance of revealing nothing more than an esoteric grouping of bizarre-ontological categories offering no practical use whatsoever.
Any film-specific context derived from that as a source should be met with severe skepticism. Might I suggest WorldCat as a source for any non-porn nature film/movie type questions re: context, as they often include plot summaries and a database to rival IMDB in scope.

Yesterday when searching, I found indeed torrents for the Episodes 1 and 2 of Young Soldiers uploaded by an AA privilge member and moved them away.
It was the same member to which I already wrote regarding episode 3 and he believed it is gay interest because of the half naked male bodies and to be good to upload …

At the moment, the chat room seems to be down and I can't find any movies online. That is probably a glitch that will be fixed within hours.
Anyway, I had some questions. I was considering uploading some non-porn material. The reason is that it is very good stuff, packaged up in a very "friendly" way. Specifically, I got ahold of every episode of the HBO series the Sopranos, without commercials, and the uncensored versions. The quality is as good as broadcast quality. I was able to get 8 episodes on each DVD, which takes up 8 DVDs. Would that be something good to upload?
I got ahold of "Pirates of The Caribbean - On Stranger Tides" and "Rise of the Planet of the Apes", but I guess those two both violate the Blockbuster rule.
Heh.. wouldn't all Tom Cruise movies qualify as being gay movies?
- by the way, there is a new movie about porn that is not porn, it is an attempt at comedy. It is called "Bucky Larson - Born To Be A Star" and it is produced by Adam Sandler. I have read several reviews of this movie, and the consensus is that it is not funny at all, and is the worst movie of 2011 so far. The weird thing is, this movie is posted all over the internet, by dozens of different "groups" with different file sizes and formats. But, ALL of them are fake! I have never come across a movie that was so aggressively posted as fakes. Also, many version of it have some embedded WMV code which tells you to go to a certain website to get a special player for the movie. Don't believe it! They are trying to trick you into installing some malware which will make your computer unbootable until you clean your drive by making it a slave to a clean drive and scanning it for malware. One reason I love gaytor.rent / GTRU.net so much is that all the movies are REAL and there is no malware here.
