Is there a forum or a site that we can go to to chat with bears, cubs & chasers?

I could ask about the Admins setting up a chat room for the Bear Community in our Chat Program. Similar to the Foreign Language boards chat rooms.
I think we should add a poll to this post and see what interest there is in such a chat room. Of course, we would need a Chat Operator…..are you volunteering juancho?

If you add a cam feature to the room, those fur balls will burn up the server all night long. ha ha ha Not that I would know anything about such things.

@lethearbear: i'm sorry i can't be a chat operator. i'm not on online all the time and i'm not well-versed in computer stuff. also, i haven't used our chat feature here yet. i will try it immediately.
@cableguylive: chat with cam feature is a really good thing. it would be nice chatting with you.

There is a **Dark Room set up in Chat now for group or private "discussions" perhaps we should use this first and then go from there.
@juancho ~ probably no need for a Chat Operator for this kind of Chat room. Mostly to prevent nasty behavior between members ie name calling etc….......**

[off-topic]I think the overall chat setup may be better if changed a little bit. As not all users know or otherwise desire to get a chat client, perhaps it may be a good idea if we implemented a way to be able to select the channel(s) to join when you click on the "Chat" in the top navigation bar. This may prove to help users overall in getting to their desired chat rooms, rather than limiting them to either the main channel or the darkroom.[/off-topic]

Do you think a Skype room would work? You can have up to 250 members per room and there's video. I know this isn't the best solution but it's free. The down side is you do have to install their software if you can call that a problem. Maybe we could have a tool or a flag that would let people know it's ok to Skype them or a list people can sign up for and then they can be invited to the skype room.

What we need is 2 Chat Room Mod's that have 1-2 hours a day Moderating the Bear Chat Room. Details of the job available by request.
Come on now 2 volunteers are needed ~ who will step up and take on this challenge?

Sorry I can't put my hat in to the ring for a formal office. I wouldn't be able to guarantee time everyday. I'd be happy to offer help and keep an eye on things but I really like my roll and a spectator and not having any responsibility is a good thing.
