I'm 9 1/2 and I use a 2.25 or 2.5 and that's just right for me. The thinner the ring the tighter I like it. The new ring is very think and heavy so I went tighter but my thinner rings are all 2.5" and they don't dig in at all and are very comfortable. If you only use them for sex then tighter might be the way to go but you don't want to cut off the cum flow. If you know what I'm saying.
