Program advice, please help

Which program do you use to save the videos from the protected porn sites which don't allow Real player to save its videos? I occasionally get membership to some sites, and wouldnt like to lose those videos  :-[

If it is a flash video (which most of them are) I use xxxDownloader.  hxxp://www.xxxdownloader.net.  It's free and a nice feature is that it will let you convert it to a friendlier format on the fly also.

But as far as I can see you write the url in this app and the Url is a webite protected membership site. You have tried this in any paid site?

Right-clicking the download link and saying "save as" did the job for me yesterday. But I guess there should be sites which won't let that.

I have tried it. It crashes everytime a click "download"  And now I cannot somehow "save as" the movie. I have done 4 times last night. wtf?  :blink:

I'm not sure why it would crash.  I have had zero issues with it. As far as paid sites, I have not tried them either. What kind of computer setup do you have?

Maybe someone else can post a better alternative for you to use.

Is there an option to enter the auth data in xxx downloader? So if you want to download from a pay site you have to login or something. Or does this programm uses the cookies from the browser?

You can test this: hxxp://username:[email protected]/…

I normaly use wget for "normal" sites flashgot/jdownloader for the rest.
