Site is suddenly so slooooooooooow

Since ~ 24 h or more, the site has become extremely slow; pictures taking a lot of time to display.
Moreover (is it related?) all my uploads are also sluggish ( ≤ 20 kbits/s !).Anyone experiencing the same problem ?
P. S.: my access to any other site remains fluid.

It's been terribly slow over the weekend. It's crawling, if it loads anything at all. Is there something up? Can one of the site admins or moderators reply with a status?
