@VONCROFT16 After some testing of that part on my end, it would appear there's some kind of freaky redirect issue going on for some torrent clients.

You should be able to get around it either by turning ON the SSL tracker in your profile, then downloading the .torrent file again, or by manually adjusting the tracker URL in your torrent client.

        Try changing the beginning from:

        http://tracker.gaytor.rent:2710/

        to

        https://tracker.gaytor.rent/

This will likely resolve the issue you are having.

The other possibility is if it's not an SSL redirect issue, the VPN provider you are using may be imposing port restrictions on port 2710, which is not uncommon, as this is the most common port for HTTP based torrent trackers.

none of those links are loading 😞
Till yesterday, it was working fine. I was able to download and seed. I was using the same VPN. Apparently the country I am staying has banned gaytor.rent. But I am using VPN and the gaytor.rent page is loading just fine. The issue is I am not able to download the files from the torrent. 😞

@VONCROFT16 Ahhhh... Your ISP likely has a more complex DPI system, which they are using for DNS request interception. You may need to use a stealth VPN to skirt around this issue.

in this case why is he able to browse the site and only the torrent client cannot connect?

@ianfontinell Because DPI can see the full URL, thereby seeing the passkey in the URL, which identifies it as a torrent related request, rather than just a standard web request.

I have been using bittorent version 7.2.1.25273 till yesterday. No problem till yesterday. I even uninstalled and installed it a couple of time. I tried and changed to utorrent_2.2.1. But I am having the same problem. 😞

@VONCROFT16 Yeah... It sounds like your provider is using some high grade DPI that inspects the full URL and/or looks at the user agent string on the HTTP request to identify that it is a P2P request, rather than just a regular web request. The only way I know of to get around such a DPI restriction is to use a VPN that has a stealh firewall as well, so it can scrub a lot of the information that DPI uses to determine traffic and slip by under the radar

@VONCROFT16 I don't know about free, but I have been using PrivateVPN from PrivateVPN.com for a really long time now, and I've never had an issue. They not only support stealth VPN, but they also support port forwarding, which is critical for using our tracker properly.

@MrMazda Not sure if this issue is related, but when I try to use QTM, the categories are garbled as well. Thus, I can't upload manually nor via QTM.

This is a side issue. The issue with QTM is that recent site upgrades have broken the current version. We are working on rolling out a new version that will work with the new site.

As for the picture issue, I have been able to duplicate it for the purpose of submitting the necessary bug report to get the issue fixed. In the meantime, this function should still work on the old site layout. You can find the old site layout here:

                                        https://www.gaytor.rent/setproxy.php?v=live

Then, when you want to change back to the new site layout again, use this link:

                                        https://www.gaytor.rent/setproxy.php?v=develgt
