@flozen As a wise man once said: Politics and Debate.

For example - are the charges even true? I'd welcome counter-info. It'd be great if this awful story turned out untrue. If someone knew this couple and said: No way.

Projecting there, check your mirrors before posting please.

      Check them hard.

      LOL

P.S. @MrMazda judgment call but just fyi, I didn't consider Gay News - and still don't - because what does this story have to do with gays broadly?

I have just read the article, people (whether straight or gay) who are doing that to their kids should rot in jail for lifetime, but not death penalty, it would be too easy an escape

@kalayaan This may just be the Canadian in me, but I respectfully disagree.

Death is too easy and quick of a way out of the hell that they have created. Think of the child(ren) in this case. For them, this is a nightmare, which will leave them with a lifetime of trauma and scarring that they will have to deal with for the rest of their lives. As such, IMHO, the sentence handed down to this couple should match that. Rather than let them off the hook easy with the death penalty, they should be kept alive and confined for the rest of their life, preferably with torture methods to inflict pain, suffering, and trauma on them that will last for the rest of their lives. Think of it as evening the playing field. If the children must endure the trauma for the rest of their lives, so too should the perpetrators of that trauma.

This topic could be in Politics and Debate or Gay News.

Anyone who does this needs to spend the rest of their life in prison.

@MrMazda Lol, that is what I've posted, death is a way too easy for an escape for those couples so I am not for death penalty but a life imprisonment with no chance of parole

I'm awed with the fact that there are adults that need to see it on the news to know that there are kids being molested by their own parents. Yeah I get it, we don't go out wondering if our neighbors are molesting their kids when we hear them screaming and whatnot, but we all have lived enough to know the world we live in.

It's worthy to note that this kind of headline is very deceptive on the public image of gay people, it leads the reader to believe that being gay is in any way related to them being abusers. That's understandable when you don't get headlines like "straight parents caught molesting own kid" so it's somewhat expected that people will read that shit and go "oh the gays, it's always the gays"

@ianfontinell Agree (see my earlier comment) that this has -nothing to do with gays- broadly, maybe shouldn't be in this section.

As to why post it anywhere? Also explained earlier.

As to gay v. straight phrasing.... it's to do with demographic norms. 9 times out of 10, the parents are opposite-sex / unspecified would mean exactly that.

P.S. I don't agree "gay" phrasing here is "very deceptive" since

                  1. it's literally true
                  2. UK or maybe Canada has had some reports of the opposite bias, pro-gay bias, molest-y rape-y gay couples left untouched for too long, as here in Clown World 2023, gays are sometimes too sacred to touch, local police giving out bad-speech tickets to people who say the "wrong" things etc.

I have known of people whose mother's were prostitutes, and typically the daughters wind up getting into prostitution as well. I suppose that is considered to be the mother pimping out the kid. Unfortunately, this kind of behavior is VERY common, and I would say that even worse is the amount of physical and mental abuse doled out by deadbeat parents. This is why I don't have kids. The world is too fucked up and getting worse.

Argentina President Milei, as he tells World Economic Forum (Davos) that LGBTQ+ agenda may have gone too far, notes how this abuse case "made headlines around the world".
