    As to "Fact Checker", the very title means "Propagandist". Title's user asserts, with crudeness of 10-year old Hall Monitor who grants herself PhD, that she is so smarts you have no choice but to believe her ultra smartness. Because "Fact Checker doing Fact Check" and she said so. Fuck that. So pompous & fake. Such a bad way to begin anything.

    @blablarg18 All the rhetoric is one thing... but when will there be anything but accusations - that have been proven to be baseless The GOP has been in charge of the DOJ & FBI for well over a year - where are the prosecutions? Hell, there haven't even been Grand Juries formed to investigate the "election fraud" Because the ONLY fraud claims are coming fro people who lost in 2020 and can't stand to think about it. I still ask: if the POTUS election in 2020 was fraudulent, what about all the down-ballot items? THEY were OK?

    @frostycab You can search any real headline - if found, you link it - or if not found, challenge the person. Maybe you're describing a "best practice" but just IMO making it a "rule" would be heavy-handed.

    Pretty sure this scumbag wasn't anti-Charlie Kirk because of his otherwise "liberal" views... But honestly, 5 years isn't nearly long enough... and perps of this kind statistically have a HIGH recidivism rate! Having raised 9 children, I am particularly "sensitive" to these kinds of crimes - and I'm often torn by the decisions the legal community makes about these offenders... I've said in other threads recently - the problem here is that we, as a society, have "given up" on the idea of mental health. There is absolutely NO infrastructure in place (other than prisons) to treat these mentally ill people. ALL other 1st-world countries have mental health facilities - and sick fucks like this one can be sentenced - LONG TERM - to a mental health facility and treated and monitored... for the rest of their lives! What I know for certain, is that what we're doing now - to both prevent and punish - isn't working!

    Not gonna convince me (without evidence beyond "Trump had a feeling") that Iran was an imminent threat... but that doesn't mean they were no threat at all. Either way, they're gonna make us regret this - and Trump will regret it BADLY come November - MAGA - the REAL MAGA - is pissed! This is an illegal, illegitimate war... but now that we're in it, I 100% support our troops. I hope our leaders decide to end it soon. All it takes is for Trump to "declare victory" (which he already has, on multiple occasions), and stop the bombing... but Hegseth and others are "enjoying this" - like it's a game - except that REAL PEOPLE are dying! But to the wrestler issue: This kind of senseless killing is common in extremist countries - and the religion doesn't really matter: Islam, Hindi, Judaism, Christianity, even pagan religions have done as bad, or worse (ever seen a "drawn & quartered" execution?) So long as our "civilizations" consider the baseline of "I'm right, you're wrong, and I'm willing to kill to prove it" as reasonable, there will be tragedies such as this. I was born & raised Christian - I practice that religion today - and, I raised my 9 children to be Christian. None of that stops me from respectfully saying Eid Mubarak on this Eid Al-Fitr holiday (the end of the Islamic Ramadan). We CAN live in peace - but we gotta let other people live differently than us! Just as freely as we want to live ourselves!

There are only about 2.8m trans people in the USA. At your "offender rate" of 0.33 per million, that's less than 1 offender in the USA. I think we can agree, THAT is not possible.... BUT, I still say, forget about number of offenders per million -- let's look at total offenders. Truth be told, white evangelical christian men are STATISTICALLY much more of a potential danger to your children than trans people are... But why look at the results without looking at the problem: gay, straight, trans - THAT's just finger-pointing! Those things are not (according to psychologists) causal to these mass murder events! What IS common is that the perps suffer from mental illness - and this country HAS NO - ZERO - INFRASTRUCTURE to help people with mental illness... well, at least not until they commit a crime (and often times, that first crime is indeed, murder!) Please - stop pointing the finger at one minority group or another and recognize the need for a REAL solution - some kind of mental health care in this country! Thank you!

    @blablarg18 Tried, convicted, served his term & re-offended. If you have a solution for recidivism - that isn't racially or religiously based - I'm sure we'd love to hear it. EVEN IF your racist, anti-muslim, nativist ideals were the law of the land, we would still NOT be 100% safe from incidents like these. What we REALLY need is an ACTUAL mental health infrastructure system! (Jail/prison has not worked...)
