        @di3di3di3 this is normal behavior

        when someones tries to download a torrent, the tracker provides their torrent client with a list of the people who have the files, it is up to the torrent client to decide who will connect to who, and this involves various factors such as latency, upload speed, choking mechanism, etc. Often times firewalls play a role in preventing peers from connecting to each other, this can happen mid-way in the ISP's own firewalls, so you don't even get to know if you were blocked from connecting to someone.

        Another factor is the torrent demand, newer uploads are downloaded more often, after a while they settle and very rarely someone will download it.

        The only way to get your ratio up is to stop downloading and start uploading. Uploading your own files is the only granted way of increasing your ratio. In addition to that, only download freeleech torrents. Or additionally consider donating if you can.

          @di3di3di3 This sounds like a port forwarding issue. To fix this, you need to make sure that the port that your torrent client uses is forwarded through your home router or VPN to your computer, both in TCP and UDP. This is a critical and necessary step to getting proper upload traffic.

            @MrMazda Last I checked, ExpressVPN & NordVPN do not support port forwarding.

            what VPN(s) support port forwarding? thanks

              @blablarg18 I use PrivateVPN... They support port forwarding of ONE port on ALL servers, and on some, support port forwarding of ALL ports.
