Do we get seed points by posting in this forum?

I think I saw somewhere that we get some seed points for posting in this forum, but I can't find it any more. Can someone please advise? Thank you.

Thank you. That sucks. They should add that feature back so people are more motivated to post.

While "points for posts" ended a long time ago, some members -- both old and new -- believe that it is so.

From my vantage, the board with the most prominent thread encouraging this extinct idea is in Português (Portuguese):

Even before the forum software change, we were planning to remove the bonus points for posting due to the massive forum spamming for points.

This forum software doesn't offer the ability to do it.

My view on it is if you won't post because you don't get points, then what value do you bring to the forums via your posts?

@raphjd May I suggest that the information available on the main site be amended to reflect the current situation as I believe at could be the source of the confusion? Looking that the trade-in page for points it clearly states:

For what I get points?

You receive for every hour the system is registering you as a seeder 0.5 points.
If you upload a new torrent, you might get rewarded by other users with seedbonus. Upload now to make extra credits!
Upload missing/extra torrent pictures and get for each pic 1 Point extra!
- 1 Point for each Forum post and 5 Points for each new Forum Topic

Just thought I'd bump this as it's been well over a year now and the information on seed points still hasn't been updated. I know there are other things to do, but it doesn't take much to remove a single line from a bulleted list.

A rule cleanup would seem to be in order. There's also rule 9.2, which states,

The description [page of a torrent] must contain a list of all video files or titles including, by at least copy/paste the torrent’s file list.

Almost nobody does this, and it would be very clumsy for posts from fan sites with 100+ files.
