Utorrent new update weird tracker

@john32123666 I'm trying my best man. So I installed version 3.6 by downloading version 3.5.5 from the link and unchecked the auto update and now I'm supposed to install the same file again from the link? Is that how to downgrade?

If the torrent version prompted you then you don't have to make anymore changes ..
see the version on Help it will show your current version ... -
@john32123666 ok I downloaded utorrent-3-5-5-build-46348 but it installed 3.6 I downloaded utorrent-3-5-5-build-46348 again after I unchecked the update button and it didn't make any changes, still version 3.6

@john32123666 under help it says version 3.6 even tho I downloaded utorrent-3-5-5-build-46348 and installed it twice and unchecked auto update after the first and sceond install of utorrent-3-5-5-build-46348

I don't think you are paying attention ...In uTorrent [TOOLBAR]/Top left] point on Options/Preferences/General
Uncheck - Updates & Privacy / Check - Notify me before installing updates ...
[This will prevent your client from updating automatically] ...
You don't have to uninstall [updated version to avoid conflict] ...
simply download from the recent version [that works, w/ no issues] and install ...
all your active torrents are present after downgrading is completed ... -
@john32123666 I agree, this is way past too much. one last time breakdown and then I'll leave it. I have a fresh install of windows 10 no uTorrent. I download utorrent-3-5-5-build-46348 from the older versions link but it installs version 3.6. I then uncheck the auto update checkbox and then I install utorrent-3-5-5-build-46348 again but it does not downgrade anything. Where am I going wrong or should I just give up?

@citydwelleer-0 as I've said once older version is succeded uncheck auto update from that older version to stop from updating 3.6 ...

@john32123666 ok I think this is where my issue is. it installed version 3.6 so I dont have anything for it to not update to so when I uncheck auto update it just stays at version 3.6 because that is what was installed when I installed utorrent-3-5-5-build-46348 and because there was no previous version ever installed on this computer it it doesn't matter that I wont allow it to auto update since it never installed utorrent-3-5-5-build-46348 in the first place. I'm really not trying to piss you off dude. I'm going to try to uninstall it and then disconect it from the internet and install utorrent-3-5-5-build-46348 AGAIN to see if that makes a difference, maybe if it can't connect to anything it will actually install utorrent-3-5-5-build-46348 like it should

@john32123666 Thanks, I'll try that version now. Even with internet off when I open the file to install the older version downloaded from the link utorrent-3-5-5-build-46348 it says it's installing version 3.6 in the second page of the installation process, not sure how it is automatically changing the version

@john32123666 that link installed μTorrent Web Version 1.0.5.1933 (5880) I'm unfamiliar with uTorrent web and not sure what that is even, do the trackers work for that web only version of uTorrent?

@john32123666 I was also concerned about that, but with the 'safe' guys not having the real files available for download I think thats the only option for now, I'm not so sure I wanna be the test guy since I just went tru the hassle of doing a fresh install of Windows 10 because after 6 annoying months of Windows 11 I couldn't take anymore buggy crap so i wiped the turd OS and here I am trying to install the programs I use but apparently the only version of uTorrent that works with gaytorrents is no longer available so that kinda sux, I guess I'll check back later and see if you guys ever get this fixed for new users...
