Hi,
Any recommendations on video thumb maker? I'm not that concerned about cost, but I'd rather choose one that's recommended and preferred by everyone.

My personal favourite is Video Thumbnails Maker http://www.suu-design.com/projects_vtm.html. Has a good range of options for customising your thumbnail sheet, is quick to generate the thumbnails and isn't expensive (only $10).

Personally I use the one that comes with my favorite video player (Media Player Classic - Home Cinema [MPC-HC]). Easy to use, configurable, fast, and FREE.
