I used to go to Spa Excess in Toronto when I lived there a few years ago! I used to love playing pool in the nude in the bar area! I wouldn't be scared. I've been to many and have not heard about threats of raids occurring. I mean, it sounds vaguely familiar a story many many years ago perhaps, but, it's not as if the bath houses are operating illegally. I'd be more concerned about a raid at a regular bar/pub over a bath house.

I have yet to go to a decent bathhouse. The most recent one I went to was steamworks in Toronto and it was a mess there, there were some good looking guys. But most were older men who smoked meth and I'm not joking about the meth. They had it there in their rooms and that's all people did. Everytime a younger guy came in they would swarm around them and freak them out. Plus the bathrooms were shit because someone didn't know how to douche properly. But I am planning on going to another bathhouse soon.

The one nuance about bath houses that I don't like is the potential for attitude and rude behavior. Totally fine that not everyone is attracted to everyone in the place, but it's bothersome when you see/hear people being downright rude when rejecting someone. Hopefully you find a place that you like though. -

I go to the Watergarden in San Jose for the last year and a half and I usually go once a week.
It's a very nice gay bathhouse that has a variety of patrons that go, but they mostly skew older around the 40 - 60 range. But that's the type I'm attracted to.
Everyone I've been with has been respectful if I turn them down or, if I accept, plays it safe.
I don't recommend going to a bathhouse if a person can't handle one-night stand type of environment. There are regulars, but I've met (and done) men from all over the country that are there for just a day or two.
