How do you manage your porn movies

I have a vast network full of porn really… There are 6 different hard drives across 2 different servers, plus my local hard drive on my laptop that I pile it into... I have quite the collection over the many, many years I have been trolling the internet. What kind of content it is depends on what hard drive and where on that hard drive you will find the content.

I just put them all on an external drive.

Usually like: Studio + Actor(s) + Name of the movie

I used to have loads of stuff on external hard drives that would just gather dust.Nowadays I have an external slim usb stick permanantly stuck into the laptop 512GB(so cheap nowadays)and all my porn torrents go directly there.I'd say that I limit myself to 20gb of my favourite porn and if it gets anymore I take out the weaker ones.

So far everything is mainly in an external HD, except for the files I share both here and some other torrents sites.

I have on HDD's that I encrypt with Veracrypt (free-open source).

My biggest issue with managing is that I'm constantly out of space!  ;D

Why do you think I have to keep adding hard drives to my collection on a couple of my different servers to hold it all now? LOL

Just use external harddrive with folders for the various types or studios.  You could also use NAS.

I do most by studio, with a few by type, such as Vintage.

I posted this: (https://community.gaytor.rent/index.php?topic=45838.0) before I saw this thread. I have a server running Plex that all my porn is on. I store it by /Studio Name/Title - Actor, Actor, & Actor.ext and each studio is it's own library in Plex. Works really well and my friends I share it to can easily find the newest content, drill down to their favorite studio, or use search.

If it's of any value, I now have most of my content tucked away in network file storage in the basement, all setup to be able to stream beautifully out in the trailer in the bush. That way, all the bulky equipment is in the basement of the house where nobody really ever goes, and it's all available through a single hardwire network line into the trailer.

I sort it by actor, and I have it on an external HDD. I only have about 80 gigs worth, I think some people here must be in the terabytes!

2.3 TB. I sort it by Studio and some by special actors I really adore. I have a "favourite" folder for pieces that make me always cum.  :cheers:

I separate general porn from the ones featuring my favorite models; they have their own specific folders which I name after them ;D

I just dump it on an external drive. When I rewatch some of the movies I realize that I've "outgrown" them so I delete them and that's how I manage my disk space.

I have a NAS drive which serves as a back-up for my general files and to store porn. Anything unwatched is on my laptop and is either deleted or transferred to the NAS depending on whether it makes muster.

I store professional porn by Studio and amateur porn by one of the following categories - vanilla, inter-racial, BDSM, throatfucking, femdom.

I'm about to add 500GB space - but I'm afraid that will be full in no time due to reshuffling, getting better versions (quality), and getting DVD's as to convert (rip them myself) that way I get best quality (h264!!!) and van share pristine crystal clear videos.

I wonder what happened to that guy who was having a crowd funding for his new HDD.. hmm

Porn movies are tricky to manage compared to just pics. Is it a full movie? Or something else. There's a lot of the latter that I like also. This makes it very hard to go by title, although now that I think about, separating full movies out and organizing them by title sounds possibly useful. Still, what's left-over (and there's a lot) is hard to deal with. By category? That can be iffy. And then there's the trick of trying to find them again. Which is why I use Calc (LibreOffice's version of Excel) to organize certain parts of my pic collection. It's the poor and/or lazy/stupids persons way to do a data base. I'm a librarian at heart so these things irk me. If I was good at it, I'd figure it out. As it is, I muddle along with figuring out where to put vids, but I'm really good with organizing my pics
