A canary bird, but I think he has confused himself with a parrot for he behaves like so. He wans to be free in the house, he sits on us, he demands we will play with him and stuff like that…

I got my partner a "flat cat" a long time ago, after he lost "Izzy"–short for Isadora Duncan--a moody male cat who'd been with him for years, and one evening he never came home.

The new kitty used to have a spot atop the upright piano against the living room wall at his apartment until he fell behind it. (I think he's still back there too.)
